Thanks, Penners. It's good. It's all good.
Got everything fixed ... I'll do more later. I don't really like Mom's laptop. The keys seem to be in different places than on my PC at home.

Re: Victory for Vicki Cookbook: RECIPE LINK UPDATE Page 1
Do not taunt the happy ball. Do not taunt the happy ball. Do not taunt the happy ball.
Everything was going so well with Mom. She was feeling great. Went to the radiation center yesterday for a run-through of her rountine next week. Had a nice lunch. Took a nap. Then, she decided we should go see "Julie & Julia." She ran into some of her lady friends at the theater, we visited for a bit and then watched the delightful film.
As we were leaving, coming down the steps, I was in front of her and she was visiting with one of her friends. She was focus on the conversation, not the steps in front of her. She missed the last step and took a horrible 4-step forward tumble. How she ended up hitting the back of her head, I'll never know. If she had gone down face first, no telling the damage she would have done to her incisions/radiation port, her face, her arms.
She fell on her back. Her 79-year old head hit the concrete with the most horrible sound I've ever heard ... and never want to hear again.
She was fine for about 5 minutes. When EMT got there, she began to fade in and out. She didn't know what year it was, what movie we'd seen or how was the president. That's when I got really, truly scared. She has some memory issues already. Although she sailed through the lumectomy, and she teaches water aerboics to the old women in her subdivision, she is more frail than she wants to admit.
They did a CAT scan of her brain (she had one yesteray of her lumpectomy area). Said everything was okay and sent her home with instructions to wake her every 4 hours and make her talk to me. They said the first 48 hours were critical, so I'm watching her like a hawk.
We got home about 9:00. She was in bed by 9:30 ... I set the alarm and woke her as instructed. She was fine.
She's up this morning, but her the spot on her head is really sore. I'm so glad she works out because she says her body is not too stove up. Another woman her age might have broken a hip or a shoulder on a fall like she took.
That's it for now. Please send some phin power to my mom. For those of you at Hoot Island, she's the one who went down the slide - twice -

Damn ETP - just saw your post, that's awful. Hope she's feeling better soon.
Luckily she's hardheaded, hopefully it won't get any worse.
