Summer Rewind - What was YOUR FAVORITE Experience/Trip?

Post by MileHighPirate »

Summer 2009 is about over.

What was your favorite EXPERIENCE/TRIP/MEMORY/WHATEVER of SUMMER 2009?

Going to Red Rocks (always a summer highlight for me) is definitely one of my favorite moments of the summer.

ZIGGY MARLEY and 311 at RED ROCKS. 10th Row Center out of 70. Great Summer Day that stretched out forever.

YOUR TURN!

I spent a weekend with Little Frank about a month ago, best weekend of the summer. We went to the park, had ice cream, and watched "Cars".

Simple, yet wonderful :D

Loved our annual trip to Orlando, but we are getting ready for a 2 week roadtrip!
It is either going to be the best trip OR someone will be standing along side of the road...LOL

9 days at Lake Oconee, GA....definitely one of my new favorite places. 9 days with my niece and nephew, you can't put a price on that. :D

My cousin came out from Belgium with her hubby and 15 month old daughter, I hadn't seen my cousin in something like 15 years. It was great to patch things up and be a part of each other's lives again.

And although it wasn't technically summer, my trip to AZ in May was pretty spectacular. :D

I saw a friend I hadn't seen in a long time. It was nice.

Family wedding in Summerside, Prince Edward Island was a great time!

Also finally got our urban farm/CSA program up and running this summer. Lots of happy customers and lots of fresh, organic veggies.

OK I'll play (as long as I can add after Alpine.)
Frisco/Dallas/Waco.. The tour through the Dr Pepper museum
the ponytail cutting by Uncle Jim. Livingston Saturday night
the book depository tour.. what a special time

the Concord trip.. I figured out the Thursday before the show that I could go..
the Concord Pavilion... that place still gives me Goose bumps..
He went to Paris for the first time.. Jeep girl shouting " Holy Smokes" (or something close)

Second row seats (center) to Kenny Chesney hanging with my Partner in Crime from work what a great show..

My trip to Cincy and Chicago.. Santa's Posse, meeting a bunch of pholks I
have "known" for a while.. sober Dials.. a hug from "the big guy"
first White Castle/Waffle House and TGI Fridays
seeing old friends.. hugs by the dozens.. made the News in Cincy

My first Tattoo

But the most important to me??? a call from my Father "Did we Draw Tags?" 81 and still wants to go hunting this year.. 8) 8) :pirate:

Me and the family have been doing lots of boatin', fishin', & just cruisin' backroads in the Jeep.
Simple things really but most def a great time!
Tubing the Ichetucknee River a couple of weeks ago was a blast.
Been hanging out with friends in the backyard Margaritaville and Wally world pool a lot too.
And summer's not nearly over here. I'm off manana and am gonna cruise the beach some more.

Since I don't take my "summer" vacation til Sept so far the best time was Great Woods weekend.
I'd never done both days before and it was SO much fun!
