Was I making stuff up in my head or did I hear during the Atlantic City pre-show interview last night something about Mac and/or Ilo playing on Tuesday night (Aug. 25th) at 56th & 8th Avenue in Manhattan??? I believe it was Mac that made the comment.

Okay, I listened to the interview. Ilo is playing at Guantanamera, at 56th and 8th Ave on Tuesday. It didn't sound like Mac was booked with him, but you never know who might show up. Besides, honestly, I'd be going to see Ilo.

Dang! Where would I park an rv in the city? But I want to go to Ciao Baby too. And I'm not sure what time we can leave Jersey yet. The best I can probably do is to get to Jones Beach early on Wednesday.

Dang! Where would I park an rv in the city? But I want to go to Ciao Baby too. And I'm not sure what time we can leave Jersey yet. The best I can probably do is to get to Jones Beach early on Wednesday.

The recon on the parking lot is a pretty important point this year!

Have I mentioned NJ and NY aren't my favorite states, especially for driving? I might stop shaking by tomorrow. Somewhere just onto Long Island (I'm not sure where, exactly) as I was minding my own business in the right lane, a great big pickup going about 80 decided he needed to hit the exit. From the center lane. He either never saw me or didn't care that I was in the way. I have no idea on God's green earth how I avoided him. No idea. There was swerving and slamming of brakes. I didn't roll and didn't hit anyone else. He never changed course or speed so I have to guess he never saw me..... I think the guardian angels got overtime pay today.... I will say this... If you're still talking on your phone in the car by holding onto it, think hard about a bluetooth. I was on the phone, with a headset. If I'd been holding a phone I have no doubt whatsoever I would have wrecked. Either he would have hit me or I would have lost control trying to avoid him....

Trust me I live & drive on Long Island -he saw you but he did not care!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -I'm still amazed that I haven't been killed yet!!! Thank goodness you are okay -see you at JB@JB, right???

Anyone going to see Ilo tonight?

SGH - I spoke to someone at Guantanamera yesterday and asked whether Ilo is playing. She had not heard of him and informed me that Pedro Martinez is playing tonight along with lots of salsa dancing. I can't find any other information about Ilo's schedule.
