Funkhouse this is the best we can do.....Hope it helps!
Sorry you didn't actually get it at the concert!

Don't give up.....there's always next year, and maybe, just maybe he'll get wind of this campaign and do it for you.

I`m sorry that he didn't play nautical wheelers, but I am with Larry. When he sang the opening line to Brahma Fear I was the happiest guy at the show. It was obvious that only the hard core fans appreciated what was going on down on the stage. There were a lot of people in section 101 who had no clue what he was singing.

Hey FH9,
When JB played Brahma Fear and said he was doing some "Key West songs" I really thought we had Nautical Wheelers coming in the set list.....so sorry, man.
But my wife and I were in Section 101 and we definitely had a "clue" about Brahma Fear.......that was a special treat

Sorry NW didn't make it as well! But Coconut Telegraph is on my heavy rotation right now, I was shocked he pulled It's My Job out of the archives! Maybe he is trying to get everyone pumped up for MOTM (not that we need any help) with the shout out to KW. I usually only download the shows that I went to, but that one is a keeper.

I didn't catch the show but love the Brahma Fear and It's My Job. The show is broadcasting again at 10am so I will be tuning in.
Gotta make MOTM, hopefully next year!!!
Funk......sorry your song wasn't played. We heard it at Noblesville and it was a treat. Oh course the young drunks didn't get it. I have a love for Floriday's and really hoped it would be played at Gulf Shores.

I posted in another thread that there was a middle aged couple next to me at the show. When he did Brahma Fear I turned to them and said "I can't believe he's playing Brahma Fear." They said "What?"

Just to refresh your memory, this started out as a plea to get him to play it last year. When he didn't do it, I carried it over to this year. The only way to start earlier would be to start a couple years ago.

You know.... now I wonder if Jimmy did read this thread and has a twisted sense of humor. This post exchange was from before the concert last year. If I know 12VM, he will find this very amusing.

Do we have a suicide watch set up yet?
I'm just sayin...............
I'll probably be near him on the lawn. I'll check on him periodically.
Just be listening for the shrieks of misery after he ends with Yellow Submarine and the house lights come on.
Nah...Jimmy won't leave before he plays "He Went to Paris"...
Damnit! You jinxed me!!!

I had the same thing happen in my section Larry. I think Backstreets had the same thing happen also.

FunkHouse9 wrote:We're getting close. A "couple" of jokers decided to text me simultaneously from last night's Bristow show to let me know Jimmy was "playing" Nautical Wheelers. I was at the back end of what seemed like a 20 mile backup on 95 South with no way to confirm whether it was a joke or serious. So, I had plenty of time to stew in that thought as I crept along at a snail's pace. I had hoped that my series of middle-of-the-night texts would wake them from their slumber, but apparently they had enough fun that they slept right through their phones' alerts. Oh well.
