The Ultimate, I mean Ultimate Beach

As a 50 year old BNer, and a fairly successful one at that, it has been my pleasure to see many beautiful beaches.

Well, today, I have capped a week at the best I have ever seen.

I am lucky to work directly for the founder of our $500M business after 30 years, and stayed at his 110 acre ocean front estate near Tulum Mexico. He built it 3 years ago.

For as far as you can see, the beach is white sand, extremely blue water & light blue water. No structures or people for miles.

All I can say, is I do not wish to leave.

While the estate is private, the area is not. It is in the Palancar reserve, 20 miles from Tulum. Several beachy and modest hotels ten miles down from where I am with the same view.

Before I clicked the thread I thought of Tulum.
The beach there was definitely the Margaritaville I've always had in my mind.

Tulum has our favorite beach in all the world...the Playa El Paraiso (Paradise Beach). Just south of the ruins it has a funky little beach bar with ok burgers (who goes to the beach for the food anyway?). Beds, chairs, loungers stretched over white sand in front of clear blue water. The atmosphere is relaxed and "no worries". Topless is ok of course like most of Tulum's beaches and occassionally a beautiful woman or two will go for an all over tan. Just adds to the scenery. You can grab a boat to the reef or just sip rum from a fresh cut coconut on the beach all day. Over the years this beach has been threatened with condo construction and seizure by the government, but it always seems to survive intact. It really is Margaritaville...for the time being.

Tulum is a great beach, the beach at Paamul is a great one too.
