Never been to Irvine or Alpine...must try those!
Small shows are the best but not always feasible...and the ones with 100 people are a million times better than the ones with 1,000!
Seriously, Paris was great in 07 not so great in 08...should be interesting in 09. The Margaritaville/Beachcomber shows are the best.
Of big venues, I think it is more important that you go with the right person than to the right place.
But, if you live in cold weather, take a trip to Tampa. If you live in Florida, a trip to Great Woods or Chicago is good.
Every venue has its ups and downs...some have better restrooms...some have better tailgating, etc.
LOVED Cincinnati this year...first time there! Actually, I think they are ALL GOOD! Find a nice group of friends and have fun.
If all else fails, buy a few bottles of Pyrat, a few bottles of Patron and make friends.

ooooh, does that mean you'll share them with me privately??
But c'mon, there's got to be one show that sticks out more than any other.

Ha Ha Ha!! There are definitely things that stick out more than others but probably shouldn't post them!!
Seriously, if I had to pick, Aspen 2006...40th Birthday...great experience....
Chicago 2007 at Tinley Park was the BEST tailgate ever.
Hong Kong was the best concert as far as the people there...so polite, so nice, so helpful.
Paris in 2007 began the whole Paris trend and the people were mostly newbies.
New Orleans Margaritaville was incredible!! JB opening at the Beachcomber in Honolulu was also.
Cincinnati this year was the most fun ever because of the people we met and hung out with...
Kentucky is ONE FUN STATE!
WHEW! Can't pick just one!

I think the last show always sticks out more than almost any other!
On Saturday, Jimmy was clowning around during Gypsies... as usual...
He decided to use his guitar as a hockey stick and shot a beach ball right off stage and hit me right on the side of my head!!!
I will gladly always take one for the team!!!
Thank you Jimmy!!!

well, I give you credit for admitting how old you are....
Kentucky=fun? Okay...
Chicago was a better tailgate than anything you did on in the north east/ interesting.
And yeah, anything you can't post publicly, I'd love to hear.

Well, the people in Chicago are so nice...nice little people from the Mid-West.
I grew up in Maryland so Nissan is not that exciting for me. Great Woods and Jones Beach are fun but Chicago is special.
Cincinnati was VERY fun, though. I think it has more to do with the group of people you are with, though!
shhhhhhhhhhhh about the age....must show you my video from Aspen!

you're the one who said, to paraphase, "I turned 40 in 2006 in aspen." Being from Maryland, any shows at merriweather post?
and yeah, any good tailgate is great because of who you're with.

I've only been to Jones Beach once, and it was the last show that I attended, but I have to say it was my favorite show to date. I'm not a fan of the big arenas, Philly sux, and Camden while the tailgating is fun there, the parking police are a huge pain in the azz. The absolute absence of parking police in JB moved it right to the top of the list!
