My point always was, if the tickets never went on sale the show did not ever exist.

So far the only show that yet exists for 2009 is 9/26 in Paris.

I have a refundable hotel room near the Mohegan for the night before and the night of the show.

May we be added to the list of very disappointed phans. We had planned a visit with our 'keets in Orlando and a nice four day cruise out of Port Canaveral in the week leading up to the show. We were also so looking forward our first tailgating experience. The loss of the show really puts a damper on our plans. The whole vacation was built around the Buffett show. Our final payment for the cruise isn't until Saturday so we can cancel today without penalty. We'll still see our 'keets in a couple of weeks at the FSU-SFU game and at Thanksgiving. It just goes to show to not get your hopes up too high. No JB this year for us......

Updated: I just got off the phone with our T/A and have found out that we will forfeit our cruise deposit if we cancel since penalties kick in today. So we have no choice but to continue with our travel plans but without the concert portion of the trip. The cruise will be fun, but the wind has been taken from our sails.

UUUUGGGGGHHHHHH - the sound of the wind now out of my sails.....

The tears will come later, after that..... cussing, then a few boat drinks...

It's a bummer, but the two shows I saw this year were great! Kenny chesney tomorrow, my best friend coming into town, football game and 9/12 rally on saturday! Too much fun going on to be upset.

But what is slightly weird is that the local parrothead clubs put in their ticket requests. Perhaps those weren't high enough? Well whatever the reason I refuse to be sad or upset. I cannot complain when I have already been to two shows!

Mother F@#$#@ , the girlfriend and I just rearranged our vacation time to be down there, and I found rountrip airfare for 100 a ticket that I was about to buy tonight.


and I still have a free week at universal ticket I won that needs to be used by the end of the year.

i cancel going to MOTM ..... sorta caused a break up...now this is cancelled...someone really hates me up there...now i have vaca days for this weekend....i guess i go to South Beach and Ft Lauderdale and a Dolphins game...maybe shoot down to the keys!!!...im glad i didn't book anything air wise!!

Frickity, frick frick....I kept hoping all day that M'ville.com had removed the date to update it with an "on sale" date. Nothing yet, just a blank spot staring back at me where the Orlando date used to be.....bummer.

I already booked my airfare from Newark to MCO for the november weekend expecting to go to the concert and hopefully there will be a change; well theres always WDW with the inlaws but that doesnt come close to a Jimmy concert! See you in NY and the Mohegan if those concerts come to fruition...finz up...Phil

I feel bad for everyone that made and or changed their plans. I am glad i went with my gut and decided that a week in KW is really what i needed and did not cut my trip there short!

With what happened with the Weat Coast dates one should not book anything not refundable until tickets go on sale.

This is a bummer! I was able to change my October Las Vegas plane ticket to Orlando. Now that Orlando is not happening I'm not going for a plan C. My plane ticket is good until March. I'm just going to be very happy with what I was able to do this year and save my money for next year. The moral of the story is never put the cart before the horse.
