There's a pole in the middle of my living room. It was there when I moved in, it's part of the structure.

Actually.... yet another memory coming back to me and it's (very)PRE-PALOOZA! In college, in the basement of our sorority house, we had a couple of metal poles that really were part of the support structure. REALLY! Cross this lil' skoolgrl (schoolgirl) heart of mine!
