Well, Jimmy's not coming to Seattle or Vegas in October as originally announced :( , but it looks like he'll be at Shoreline . . .

"Each concert, however, boosts individual appeal. Notably, Parrotheads will want to purchase tickets for Saturday’s affair, which is when their leader, Jimmy Buffett, will make his long-awaited Bridge School debut."

Have tickets gone on sale yet? You know there's that contingent that says an announcement, even if on the artist's official website, doesn't mean a thing.

I would like to one day go to one of these.

Is it just Jimmy or is it the whole CRB? And why only the first day?

Just saw an article on this: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/32845513

I'll betcha we don't get PHC seats for this either. But it could be quite enjoyable regardless - I've heard excellent things about this show in past years, and it's for a good cause.

With the October cancellations and then the Orlando cancellation and the TBA for ticket sales for the remaining dates, my wife and I were suspecting some kind of medical issue.

The date of this show makes me breath a little easier and makes it seem more likely they are just business decisions based on the poor economy.

The Bridge School Benefit is great. Usually it is an acoustic event so I would not count on seeing the entire band. Maybe, it is Jimmy only. If past concert history is a guide, you could expect Jimmy to perform for about 30 minutes and then Neil Young will join him for a few songs. When Neil closes out the show, I would expect that Jimmy would join him.

I went to my first Bridge School show last year and Neil Young did not join any of the guests except for the very first act (kind of a treat for those who showed up early). I know in the past he used to jam more with the guests so I don't know why he didn't do it last year. It'd certainly be a special thing to see Neil and Jimmy play some songs together but it's not a guaranteed thing.

Also, Jimmy is only there for the Saturday show, not the Sunday show. I hope he shows up with the at least the Beach Band rather than doing totally solo, and does some cool rarities rather than playing just the the usual standards, but I'll be there regardless.

" I wouldn't walk across the street to go to Shoreline"

Sorry..
