WKKS - heck I hooked up a ex b/f and a roommate once. They got married, divorced and then he and I started dating again.

women are different!!.....i can't be friends with or want to know what they are doing and who they are doing it with!!!....it just doesn't work with me that way!!
I'm trying to decipher this statement....so you cant' be friends with someone you used to date who is dating someone else now?
As for your question, I don't think you can give a blanket answer. There are just way too many variables that could come into play for each situation, how much time has passed being one.
lets say a week!!!!...and not if it's a good friend or best friend!!

If I knew her first.. longer.. yes...............for argument sake....no he / she didn't
if I felt that I in any way could have been a factor in the breakup no..no way..
If I knew that he had been cheatin' yep no worries ........he's cheating on someone else???....AND WHAT IF YOU WANTED THAT PERSON BACK AND THEY KNOW IT????
if it looked like we weren't going to be friends anymore anyway..
If He were OK with it
my rule of thumb.. if I am not comfortable explaining how we met.. I do not date that young lady.
A wise friend once told me that you can never go back - only forward. With the guy that I dated, introduced to a roommate that he married, and then dated again well, we're still friends. We talk on the phone periodically - he's married too.

No way in hell. Never ever ever ever ever ever.
How many million women are there in the world? (I will count all the boobies and divide by 2).
It is a lot easier to find a girl to lay than a good friend.

Tried it once, complete disaster, wouldn't do it again.
Now, if the woman was a friend of mine before she got involved with the guy in question, that's a different story. Even if he was also a friend of mine, I could still say I hadn't met her through him and I would likely have a strong friendship with her in my own right.

Yeah...this is a touchy subject. I have lost a great friend a few years ago over him going out with an ex.

With a goat? That's pretty kinky.

Like I've ever had the option in the first place......
Clarification: When I've had a girlfriend, I've had
*A* (as in one, single, only) girlfriend. I was not/am not one to 'play the field', or have several GFs at one time; so unless I was in between girlfriends at the time, I would never think of making a move on someone else, friend's ex-GF or not.

I think it comes down to what's more important: her or him?

Maybe, but she would have to make the first move. Forbidden fruit is always sweet.

I think that if I still cared that much and so strongly about a person I was with and wanted that person back (whether or not they wanted the same), I wouldn't post a poll about them on BN.

I don’t care how hot the girl is. It is a direct violation of The Dude Code.

it was just a general question!!!....i was just wondering???.....and most people here don't know!!...because i didn't tell many people here!!!!.only ones i'm close to!!!....and most that did answer really don't know who or what i'm talking about!!....yes i do feel strongly about that person....but i guess i'll never get to show it!!.....it's pretty obvious to me how that person feels about me!!!.....i'm not going to get into a war of words here!!......it was a question i had....as i said.....i was wondering on other peoples take!!!......thats all!!!
