If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is ![cheeky-grin [smilie=cheeky-grin.gif]](./images/smilies/cheeky-grin.gif)

Re: pre pay savings card??
Seems slightly sketchy to me, as the "terms and conditions" link at the bottom of the page is broken.
Basically, the merchants are agreeing to charge a lesser amount for goods and services in return for repeat business (the card can only be used at certain participating places). This lesser amount is what is showing up as the extra credit on your card (the extra $80).
It would actually save you money if you used it over time, theoretically.
However, there's usually a catch (monthly fees, credit expires after a certain amount of time, etc.) which is why that terms and conditions page is so important.

I disagree, I read about it on the internet, so it must be true.

If you hit the home link next to terms and conditions it's broken as well.
Among the numerous red flags that spring forth when reading that page I also wonder about this
How often would you eat at the participating 22 restaurants or purchase from the 7 businesses?

For example, if you charge $36 to you credit card, $60 in value is added to your card to spend at any of the participating businesses.

Well...(said in my best Bubba voice) I've been on sabbatical.
Re: pre pay savings card??
We have something similar in Philly, you buy gift cards at a discount for specific restaurants. I haven't tried it but it seems to be popular. There is a radio station that allows advertisers to pay for their advertising with gift cards. There is a lot of creative stuff going on right now to spur business. I wouldn't look at this as a too good to be true without researching. It probably is a nice discount thing if you use any of the participating vendors.
Rub yours on me and I'll rub mine on you

art house as a sign up bonus..
