I find it helps me get my spouse to a show if Jimmy plans shows somewhere he would like to travel. For example Hawaii this year worked out well. And he even went to Pine Knob this year and decided he liked the venue....so if I can ever get tickets there again, we should be set.

Sorry about beating this dead horse, but now that JB has made it official he is performing in St. Barts on November 7th, I am really bummed. We could have easily flown to St. Barts and found a decent place to stay for about the same amount of money we spent on the pre-Orlando concert cruise we are taking on November 9th plus the cost of hotel rooms in Orlando for a couple of nights. Now we have officially missed the Fall Las Vegas show, the November Orlando show and now the St. Barts show. This just hasn't been a great year for us and JB. Maybe 2010 will bring us better information.

"There's always next year." As a Washington Redkskins fan and a Parrothead, I admire your positive attitude. [smilie=cheeky-grin.gif]

We are also Kansas City Chiefs fans. They are in their 40th year of a three year rebuilding program. :D

Mixed marriages never work out well for parrotheads.
YES, I have to go every year!!! :x
I'm still bummed over the fact that I didn't go to any concerts in 1996.

The birth of a child is a good reason for missing a concert, but DAMN these people who have the balls go get married on a concert weekend.
My neice told me recently she wants me to walk her down the aisle when she gets married, and I told her if that's what she wanted, she'd better make damn sure there's no Buffett concert that weekend.
Weddings are SO over rated anyway.
Have a civil ceremony a few beers afterwards, and be done with it.
Except for the honeymoon.

Unless it's on a concert weekend.

One word: perspective

That said, I am very disappointed I did not attend a concert this year. We were in Vegas Oct 17th, but there was no show at the MGM for some reason.
