I got to hear him (and meet him) in a honky tonk in Denison, Texas in the early 80s. Class act and an excellent musician.

One of the best nights ever was down at Port Aransas in a little piano bar called Ballyhoos. Larry Joe Taylor and Rusty traded songs for hours. They turned that place into a real honky tonk. What a night!
