I've narrowed down from various internet sources that this is scene from Repo Man that Jimmy is in. He is listed as "an FBI agent", "additional blond agent", and "in the scene where the FBI guys are burning the body". I've slow motioned and zoomed in, but can't tell which one he is. Anyone else know? 1? 2? 3? 4? 5?
EDIT: The scene is at about 01:12:35 for anyone else who has it wanting to really take a look.

My guess: Looks like #3 to me. My whole world lies waiting behind (door) #3. I haven't seen that movie. Gonna have to see it. Are there any Buffett tunes on the soundtrack? I'll research next week.

I haven't really seen it either, just skimmed through it looking for Jimmy's cameo. Had to go back and search the internet for any mention of where it was, as it certainly isn't obvious. I have not seen mention of anything beyond his cameo, so doubt there is anything in the sountrack.
EDIT: Just noticed that there is another "Additional Blond Agent" listed as Gregg Taylor. Is that Fingers?
I've been gone a couple of days and was happy to see some NEW stuff when I got back.
Tonight I was listening to the Merriweather Post show from 1993's Chameleon Caravan Tour and Jimmy did African Friend with Robert Greenidge. I pretty sure this is the same recording from the video I saw in Las Vegas last October. I wonder where that video could be located? I wish Margaritaville would put out some of that stuff...on their web site would be great. Or I'd pay to see it too.
This thread is like a little Buffett treasure chest of goodies! Many thanks to all who are mining the various clips, your memories and ability to track things down are appreciated! Many of these clips are making nice additions to my own collection!
"I knew I could use a Bloody Mary, so I stumbled over to Louie's Backyard."
Just heard Turning Around from Summer Rental on RADIOMARGARITAVILLE!!!
That has to be one of my all time favorites for watching over and over. Jimmy does not have a video appearance, but the song Turning Around was written for this movie by Jimmy Buffett, Michael Utley & Will Jennings.
I love love love this John Candy Tribute on youtube:
In the movie, Turning Around, is played while the family is working on restoring an old sailboat for THE REGATTA. This is a great family movie, although it has its moments as you can see in this trailer of Summer Rental. Most of the movie was filmed at St. Petersburgh Beach.
"Oh, Mommy, make it better."
The soundtrack has never been available as far as I know, but the video has been out on DVD since 2001.
"It's fresh grouper! Lightly breaded, sauteed to a golden brown, with a hint of Dijon." (Scully's Catch of The Day- Fish Sticks).
"We name sailboats after ladies, to remind us to treat them like ladies." Scully to Jack during a sailing lesson.
"You put a hole in my boat!" says Pellet. "I was on the starboard tack! I had the right of way!" Chester replies, "I got a kid in the boat. You were the one that was supposed to move dips***!... s*** for brains!"
"Do you know what it feels like to peak when your 18?" Jack asks Scully. "Yes. Yes, I do. Would you like to learn to sail... really to sail."
"You couldn't beat my dinghy." Captain Pellet to Jack after being challenged to the Regatta.

I don't remember ever seeing this one!!! This is totally awesome!
who is Jimmy dancing with?
Molly, I kinda thought it was Deborah McColl, the Reeferette. Does anyone else know?
Also, the band at the time...I think...was Fingers on harp, ((Matt Betton)) drumming, Harry Dailey on bass, I think I saw Josh Leo in those red overalls, Mike Utley and Jay Spell on piano and keyboards.

If that's not right, someone please let us know.
That sounds about the right time frame.
Didn't know Jay Spell.
