I'm trying to remember, was he considered one of the "bad guys" like the Iron Sheik who always wrestled against one of the "good" guys (Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair)?
Don't they all go through their good guy/bad guy periods? Heck I've seen Flair and Hogan both be bad guys. If couse the Iron Sheik was bad and it seemed always bad.

I miss going to rasslin

he started off as one of the bad guys, but by the time he was nearing the end of his career, and with the crossover with the Cyndi Lauper video, he became a good guy.

And Connie's right. They are as good or as bad as the writers decide they need to be.

I know that Hogan was written as a bad guy later on (and by later on, I mean after I stopped watching rasslin'). I had probably stopped watching it by the time he was a "good" guy.

Anyone remember watching rasslin on the George Michael Sports Machine?

Hogan went bad when he went to the WCW (I know, I know, knowledge like this just charms the ladies.  ) and became Hollywood Hogan. A few years back he returned to the WWE as the Hulkster of old.

I just opened a bottle of Sobe Lean, which has words of wisdom on the bottle top. The one I just opened, which I had a few days, had the message inside ‘often imitated, never duplicated’. I never saw that one before and it gave me a good feeling and memory about Capt Lou.

ok, so i am going to be the one who admits that i still watch rasseling. so with that, i wil say that on smackdown friday nite, they barely honored the captain. at the beginning of the show, there was about 10 seconds worth of a pic of captain lou, with perhaps the words...."in memory of ". when fred blassie died, they gave him more time.
