How scary is this?
MILLIKEN, Colo. (CBS4) ―
A six-year-old boy is flying in a homemade aircraft right now over Highway 85 near Milliken. The boy has already traveled about 15 miles.
The boy apparently climbed into the helium-powered aircraft at his home in Fort Collins. It came loose from its tether, and he started flying.

Godspeed, little one. Hope he lands safely.

Not to make a joke, we need a wing walker to grab the ropes that are hanging down

yeah, hypothermia was my first thought. Well, actually my second, right after "what parent has an easily accessible "aircraft" full of helium with a six year old boy around, especially after the movie UP?"
Good luck, little one.

Don't parents watch their children at all anymore!
Now I know this Joe down in Mexico.
He went there to work on his tan.
For years he's been plugged into blenders and songs.
They call him the Twelve Volt Man

Relief that he's not in there, but deeply troubled that they dont' know if he was in and fell out (as reported by his sibling...in which case they should be able to narrow down the search pattern significantly). One can only hope he is a terrified little boy hiding somewhere so he doesn't get in trouble...

Hope he's alright. I hope he did not fall out when it was up there.
Watching the saucer-shaped balloon I can see how some folks freaked out in Roswell way back in the day.

Still praying that this will turn out okay.
The talking heads at CNN that were on duty and thus *covering* this event are babbling idiots .... totally unqualified to open their mouths without a prescripted teletype.

I wonder if maybe the kid didn't untie the thing, then get scared that he would get in big trouble, and is just hiding out somewhere?
