I saw a lady in the airport with a Kindle this week and asked her how she liked it. She said she loved it but one down side was that the screen wasn't all that bright and she needed a light on the screen in low-light conditions. She said her husband reads on his iPhone and prefers it because it's brighter. Personally, the iPhone (or any smartphone/PDA screen) is way to small for me to read anything of any length... I much prefer the printed page but the Kindle is very useful for carrying multiple books.

My wishlist for Santa this year is, regrettably, all non-Parrothead related. I'll be asking for gift cards to WalMart and Lowe's/Home Depot since I'll basically be setting up housekeeping all over again in 2010.

I LOVE holding a book in my hands, the smell of the paper, turning the pages, and
turning the edge of the page so I can find my place when I pick it up again. A Kindle is a great idea, and my daughter will only listen to books on CD, but give me a good ole print on the paper book any day!
