I'm not condoning anything, so no hate mail please, but would you be willing pay a 20% premium for tough to get Buffett tickets? The average $65 ticket would only be $13 over face value. Seems reasonable to me. The reason I ask is there is a company in CT, where brokers are legal, claiming that they have just opened and they will only charge this 20% premium on all tickets. The only catch is if they pay more so do you. Still doesn't sound like they're raping and pillaging anybody. Of course, the proof will be when it comes time to talk about Labor Day shows next year.

I agree with the previous poster - scalping is scalping. Don't hold your breath for more reasonable prices, especially if Jimmy's tour schedule is as slim next year as it was this year. If desperate phans will pay top dollar, there is no reason for this CT agency to cut prices. Scalpers look forward to Jimmy's shows because they know they can make a fortune there.
Another thing to keep in mind is that you have a chance of obtaining fake tickets from a scalper. Remember those 1000 or so fans left out in the cold at Great Woods this year? The only way to absolutely guarantee ticket authenticity is to somehow obtain them directly from TM or the venue.
Slightly OT here: has anyone been following the efforts of a brave NYPD officer to stop MSG scalping over on Margaritaville.com? Very interesting read....
Best to all (and finz up to NYCPort - hang in there!)
