Niagara Falls Margaritaville 2011

Post by Couganata »

I was informed through an insider ;). Niagara Falls Ontario will get a Margaritaville in 2011, sadly I forgot some of the other cities who will be getting one soon that he mentioned since I am from Niagara and that struck a chord.

Sorry, I don't know the location yet and will ask my contact about the other places. My guess it will be close to the new convention centre they are building.

Awesome! Will be great to have a Margaritaville near me!

What's the chance that Jimmy makes an appearance there when it opens?

As far as I know, he does make a stop at all of them as they open, maybe he will play the new convention centre we are building on the Canadian side.

A Margaritaville in 2011? That's a bit of a long ways off, doncha think?
I mean, a lot of water can pass beneath the keel between now and then....
....if you catch my drift.

Oh Niagara Falls is a money trap, loaded with tourist, think vegas but smaller, he knows where he will make money. They have that dump planet hollywood here in the falls and tourists still come in droves to it!

I heard its going to be at the old Wolfgang Puck restaurant, which i think is just across the street from Tony Romas....

but honestly,,, I am a big Buffett fan,, and I love the restaurant,,, but I don't think it will do well there,,,, 1st it's off the beaten path,, and second of all that area gets pretty slow during the winter.

oh well I guess "only time will tell"

I would hate to see it fail...

I am sorry, but bleh. Until he gets his other ones up and running, it is kinda premature to be pushing for new ones. So far Biloxi and Atlantic City have been announced, and maybe someone is seeing a trend...

The ones in KW, the Caribbean, and N'awlins are all standalones, not parasitically sucking life out of casino goers. Maybe it's time for Jimmy to go back to the former concept, or accept the lemon-yellow polyester leisure suit, massive neckchains with the Aztec medallion, and the white leather belt/matching shoes image that tying himself to every casino area seems to be pushing.

I hope it works out as well too and thanks for the tip on the old wolfgang puck restaurant. Niagara Falls attracts more than just people to the casino, so I think it will definitely have a shot. Also, though where the wolfgang puck restaurant is not on the 'strip' it is by where the new convention centre is going to be so that is an added bonus. However, I think that the old puck resto is now a nightclub already, isn't it?

im not sure,,, last time i was by about a month ago it looked vacant to me....

I just dont think its a great location,,, i mean if it was on clifton hill there,, with all the other stuff,, then ya for sure,,, it would be allright,,

but all the way over there,,i dunno,, bbut then again,if there putting a convention center there,, maybee they have some other stuff going in that area that will booost traffic,, maybee thats why the opening is 2011,, it was planned that way...

Can you even still buy 'leisure suits', lemon-yellow or not?
Some of them were over the top — think Herb Tarlek from "WKRP in Cincinnati" — but I actually kinda liked the tamer ones in their day....
