THE VOLUNTEERS OF TENNESSEE KNOCK OFF THE #1 TEAM IN THE COUNTRY!!!
Image
ROCKY TOP SHOCKED THE JAYHAWKS!!!
Image

September 28th: Forward Emmanuel Negedu goes into cardiac arrest at practice and is revived by an automatic external defibrillator and CPR performed by an assistant coach. The next day, he underwent surgery to have a cardiac defibrillator implanted in his chest to monitor his heart's rhythm and delivery energy when an irregularity occurs. His basketball career is probably over but he remains on scholarship and is on the bench at every game to support and motivate his teammates.

October 28th: Forward Josh Tabb withdraws from school to go home to take care of his ill mother who lives alone after being on an indefinate suspension from the team.

December 31st: Tennessee goes on the road into the FedEx Forum in Memphis, Tennessee and beats "Tiger High".

January 1st: All-American and top prospect forward Tyler Smith, center Brian Williams, guard Cameron Tatum and guard Melvin Goins are arrested for speeding, an open container of alcohol, possession of marajuana, and possession of 2 handguns. All players are indefinately suspended from the team.

January 8th: All-American Tyler Smith is dismissed from the team. The other three players remain on an indefinate suspension.

January 10th: The University of Tennessee Volunteers upset the #1 Kansas Jayhawks with only 6 players on scholarship, one of which is a former walk-on. Fandamonium reigns in Knoxville!!!

UCONN sucks. Three game losing streak, trailing St. John right now, and say hey, guess who comes to town next? Number 1 ranked Texas. If I was coach Calhoun, I'd be sick too.

There's still NC double A basketball going on right now in '010? Haven't noticed since my Saints are all the sports news right now.

THE BEST PART IS SEEING HIM CRY...Image
He actually pitched a fit at the event staff because he didn't want to sit in a chair with a Tennessee logo. The Sports Information Director and Arena Manager both told him "TOUGH"! What a classless crybaby and crooked excuse for a coach.

PANDAMONIUM REIGNS IN BIG ORANGE COUNTRY!!!
Image
One cool sidenote.....that is my head pictured above with the green polo shirt on. I'm on staff at the arena and work floor security after each game. It's always fun after a win like this one! :D

Maybe Tennessee and MSU will meet in the Elite 8 on Sunday...although I'd feel more comfortable playing Northern Iowa...their hot streak can't last forever.
