ATLANTIC ASSAULT

Post by thebeachbumm33 »

Gee, I'm home flipping through the boob tube with a glass of wine and in big white and red letters I read ATLANTIC ASSAULT :o Who are we attacking now, I wondered, it occurred to me I'm watching the weather channel  If you live along the eastern seaboard your well aware of the approching Noreaster and yes this is going to be a big one but we certainly don't need the additional sensationalism, do we?

what noreaster? I havn't heard a thing about it.
Still, it's all a mystery,

Depends where you live. The Mid-Atlantic is going to get smacked but New England is looking at just a few showers....

Been a mess for me all day...and it's supposed to continue all night and through Friday, clearing out on Saturday. Ugh.

It's been a slow hurricane season. This may be their last chance for hype until next year.

Yeah, you never want to see him show up on your doorstep. Michigan's snow and Ice must be commonplace enough (or not affect enough people) that they don't send him here.

They have to be careful if they send him somewhere for a snowstorm, he's smurf-size.

I saw him once and I was surprised how short he was. He's probably about the same height as Buffett.

I'm about a block and a half from the bay, this is where I usually park

Image

This is where I was going to park but thankfully my neighbor is the Cape May County emergency management supervisor and his wife told us to move it to even higher ground.

I've been here for 6 years now and have never seen the water so high.

I think Ida followed me home from MOTM! :o  I've been having bad hair days for the past 2 weeks........the weatherman said yesterday if this was one month later we would be digging out for days........YIKES! :o
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Pinot Noir in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming "WOO HOO"

He was there once. He got off the plane, saw a sign that said " Detroit Terminal". He believed it so he got back on the plane.

Yeah. The coastal areas are getting pounded.
From OBX to LI, coastal flooding, wind and rain causing problems.
Route 12 is closed in Duck & Rodanthe.
Street flooding in Rehoboth, Del.; very windy in OC, Md.

And if you like to jog on the beach in Va., watch out for that bigass barge.

Here's my photo's around Ocean City, actually around my home and a few beach pics. The dunes are less than half of what they were, 12 years of building 3days of rough seas to destroy.

Thanks (?!?) for the pics. It's amazing what water can do without even trying.

Saw some pics from OBX. The sea foam was so thick, and the winds were so strong, the beachfront houses looked like they were covered in snow!
