Larry....I was going to see if anyone mentioned a blackberry because that is the phone I've been looking at. :D
I have the Blackberry Storm. A good phone but the version I have could be better. I know Blackberry has released a newer version of the Storm that has corrected a lot of the issues that plagued the first version of it. Since the Storm is a touch screen like the iPhone, if you know you're going to be in areas that are very dusty be careful with it.

The Blackberry Storm was what I really wanted last year, but was too impatient to wait for Verizon to start carrying it and got the LG Dare instead, a month later they had the Storm.    I got the 'upgrade early' offer the other day and was thinking about the Storm 2 or the Droid everyone is raving about. I don't know, maybe I should just wait until next year, I'm sure there will be something else new out by then too.

Be glad you didn't go for the Storm early. The very first version sucked. My version is ok, has a couple of issues like it hangs up like a computer so I have to take out the battery and put it back in sometimes. I saw the Droid and said DAMN!!!!

Actually, my Dare has done that a time or two as well, not lately though. Also, every once in awhile, there is a 'delay' on the touchscreen that gets a bit annoying. Yeah that Droid looks kick-ass!

From what I saw, I think the Droid and the new Storm now got 4 out of 5 stars.

I must say I'm intrigued by the Droid...and my unscientific poll over the last couple of years seems to definitely put Verizon ahead of AT&T. Maybe I'll swing by the Verizon store this week and see if I want to make the jump.

Mind you, I've never had a smart phone. I still have my old razr...but it needs a new battery which will be around 40-50 bucks if I can even find one, since they don't make that model any more. Might as well invest in a new phone.

The cell phone question is a tough one! Especially if you end up in a two year contract and decide you are not happy.

We've been happy with out ATT service so we are signing up again this month. I'm going to take the leap from my simple Nokia ( it phones people) to an I-phone.

Wish me luck!

I've had Verizon for quite a few years now. I'm happy with them; service coverage is excellent, and on the few occasions when I've had complaints, they've been resolved relatively quickly and competently.
