We've pulled together a Parrotthead party for Friday evening and can't wait..........
From what I've seen over the last year or two, Zac Brown is the man to carry the torch after Jimmy is ready to relinquish it. Sorry Kenny....we love your music and your personna but Zac's got the total package! He may have to get rid of that shaggy knit cap however

I so agree w/ the shaggy knit cap look! If you have seen them in concert, they pretty much all look like that! If you can look past that image, they are putting out some great music.

You should dig a little deeper - there is some great country music being produced today. Check out the County Top 40 count down some weekend. I for one am happy that country has grown in overall popularity because I think it has helped quell the over-riding move music was making toward rap, new funk, and urban/European techno S**T music. Guess you all know where I stand on music now

Well....I've dug and it just doesn't move me.......most of the country top 40 makes me cringe.....but that's what's wonderful about music, there's something for everyone and you can take or leave any of it.
I don't think any of it is sh*t, just some of it isn't for me.....but if it moves someone else in some way....awesome!

Well....We stand side by side! It's either JB or Country that comes out of my speakers!

HEY!!! I already requested he show up on April 29th in STL!! I will say his PR person did tell me in an email that they (JB & ZB) hit it off extremely well during the Crossroads taping. I would expect more to come in the future!

Sorry folks...i just don't "get" ZBB. A couple of their songs have been "catchy" but no comparison as far as I'm concerned to Chesney. When I'm down in the islands and I hav emy iPOD - it's all JB and Chesney...
Maybe I'd feel different if I were to see ZBB in concert....

I have seen both Kenny Cheesy and ZBB. I doubt I would ever go see Mr. Cheesy again. I felt like he faked his way through the concert. Never got personal with the audience. Basically boring!
ZBB for being so new to this stage, was WAY more entertaining, emotional, and personal with the crowd! And loaded w/ great musicians! Can't wait to see him again!
BUT...that's why all radios, etc. have dials and on/off switches. To each his own!

Your're right...and I haven't seen ZBB in concert so my opinion my change! The only time I have seen Chesney was in a bar a few years ago - only a couple of hundred people and he was very personable...even taking requests....He played for 3.5 hours straight and became increasingly intoxicated as he went along...was funny to watch...

Well, the reason I went to see KC in the first place was because I liked some of his music!
And ... I bet that was a great bar show to see. The smaller the better...usually!
It is hard to get past the silly looking stocking caps and beards almost everyone w/ zbb wears!! Try listening to his version of the Devil went down to Georgia!! You just may be sold if you do!
Then listen to "Where the Boat Leaves From"...you will think you were listening to a JB song!

Next time you hear "Where the boat leaves from" sing the chorus to "Stir it up" at the beginning when it's just the drums and bassline. Seems to fit to me and a live medley of the two songs would be sweet.

The show was pretty awesome - if you didn't get chance to see it - check listings it replays several times this weekend. Personally, I think the "free" - "mystic" cut will become one of those performances we will look back on as a GREAT cut years from now.
