Sooooo, my flight leaves MIA on Tuesday the 9th but I forgot to extend my reservation by a day and now can't do so (they're full)....

So maybe I'll wander back up the Keys for Monday night. Anyone have any suggestions for a place to stay on the water?

Nope.... We don't carry flood insurance....

And my neighbors closer to the bay who did say it paid for very little and the deductible was huge.

Well, the suitcase and the clothes are in the same room - so far so good. Trying for ONCE not to bring too much!

Suitcase? I'm trying to fit everything into a carry on. Not sure if it's going to work.

I got everything in a carry on and a small backpack. Were sending all the liquids/personal items that can't be carried on down to the hotel afew days early in one of those new flat rate Priority Mail boxes. I'm almost fully packed and we still have a week to go. I'm ready NOW!!!!

Now in addition to painters, we need a bug guy and HVAC guy........ Does it ever end??????

Got a similar problem....pulled off the old shed on the side of the house as the roof was rotting.....found ants had eaten all the sills and wall joists. I ended up replacing 12 feet of sills, a half dozen joists and the plywood just before the rains started. Since then I've gotten tar paper on the wall and re-framed the shed. I started putting the roof on today but it started pouring again....I'll try again tomorrow ( also need to drop the sails on the sailboat and finish winterizing it)
On top of that my Jeep died last week and is parked til we get back from Key West. I'm hoping it just needs a new starter.
Yeah, it never ends.....

But....nothing is taking this smile off my face because I'm leaving in less than 4 days for 12 days of fun in the sun.

Bag is pretty much packed (minus the computer)! Tomorrow afternoon we head to Boston and fly out Wed. morning. Going to be there for 6 days and going the carry-on and back pack route. Most of the liquids are under 3 oz. (wish I would have thought of the shipment route!).
