b) It probably is, and for whatever reason, (like, "ZOMG!!!! IF SHE LEAVES, SHE GETS HALF MY STUFF BECAUSE I COULDN'T CONTROL MY PUTZ!!!! THE SPONSORS WANT A FAMILY MAN.. AND I WON'T BE!!!!! OH NOES!!!!!) they are renegotiating to buy time for the revelations to be less damaging.
c) there probably is, at least if she got a lawyer worth more than $30/hour.
d) again, I run into issues w/ "dutiful wife attending events and maintaining the image of the perfect couple" and "non-disclosure" contract language. With language like that, it isn't about making it work, it's about keeping the marketing of Tiger as wonderful human being from shredded (by his own actions..)

Sorry Pam, I gotta call BS....being a supermodel doesn't really enter into the equation....it has more to do with the relationship. A strong relationship where both work to make the other happy rarely goes sour. Sadly, Tiger has been quoted as saying that since they got married, their sexlife has evaporated. I hope they are able to go to counseling and work thru their issues, both in and out of the bedroom, and it isn't as some have suggested, that she is just in this for the money.

I think it also has to do with ego too. If you're in the public eye that much, and especially if you're THAT wealthy, you're going to get people who are "yes men." All they say is yes to all of your requests and that once someone gets this all the time, that person will think they can get what they want when they want and get away with it. So, even with a supermodel as a wife, Tiger probably thought he can get away with having an affair and people will give him the benefit of the doubt no matter what he does.

And now The Daily Beast is reporting that Elin Woods is renegotiating that prenup to get an immediate $5 million payout from her husband and as much as $55 million more to stay with him for two more years

sliding system of fines. pricking him for $200+court costs and repairs for the ticket and the rest.. he peels that out of his "walking-around money". Hobbling, and even a day or four of debilitating pain with two packages of corn in his lap, gotten after having to go from the car to the frozen food section and back... That might say, "yeah, I'm not gonna do that again..."

Probably my last post on this topic other than maybe posting another joke or two if they are funny to me.

I am disgusted in a few ways:

a) I don't care that he slept around, that is indeed his business as long as he is willing to "man up" and take the ass-kicking if he gets caught. That he apparently was not, and is doing a serious CYA to avoid things like a domestic violence investigation because she evidently caught him texting one of the girls an hour before he took his mad dash out the house...

b) having gotten caught because he was stupid enough to forget things like, "If you are going to sneak around, use things like: cash. disposable cell phones. etc. The arrogance of having so many people willing to "bessame su cuolo" no matter what he does, made him forget, "people are going to remember that Tiger Woods was here with someone who wasn't blonde and not looking a lot like his wife...". All of his mad efforts to maintain the illusion of him being a god on the course and great human being off it makes you wonder how much of the image is carefully-crafted illusion; and

c) in doing the renegotiation of the pre-nup to buy her silence and maintain the illusion ("play the dutiful wife attending events with me so I can keep my sponsorship deals" and "you get paid only if you put up with what I did, keep quiet, and let me parade you around like nothing happened" , he has reduced marriage to commerce. I don't care if two men or two women, one man and two women, etc. marry. as long as they are adults and love each other. I just don't care. For all the ***** coming from the Religious Right about gay marriages undermining the sanctity of the institution.. this is as damaging or moreso.

Ya know what kills me? All of you assume that Elin is innocent in this whole mess. Why? How do you know she hasn't been screwing around as well? It's pretty clear that Tiger has protected her in regards to the events leading up to the accident, who's to say that he still isn't protecting her for the sake of the kids? I've always been struck by how cold and aloof she appears at Tiger's events, so I question whether she'd be easy to live with. And I remember one tournament Tiger won (I believe prior to the leg issues) when he was holding Sam and it came time to accept his trophy and check and he went to give Sam back to Elin and Sam wanted nothing to do with her Mom. This went on for several minutes and you could tell it was making Tiger uncomfortable. And let's see, she left Sweden as a supermodel to become a nanny for a successful golfer, you don't think there were any ulterior motives in that move?

By no means am I excusing Tiger's behavior and choices. But I refuse to automatically assume that Elin is as pure as snow in this whole mess. Talk about assuming facts not in evidence.

Then there are these "other women". They all knew Tiger was married. If he was coming on to them they could have said, "I'm flattered, but you're married so no thanks". But no..."he's f'ing Tiger Woods..I don't care!" They had two goals: to bring down Tiger Woods and make a whole lot of money in the process. How come no one is condemning THEM?

Would you show the same outrage and opinions if this was about Jimmy and not Tiger? Something to think about....

Thank you, Kath...... I don't care about it one way or another, actually. I have respect for Tiger as a great golfer. It ends there.

One of the local sports-talk radio guys said this morning "Man, if you can't trust 21 yo cocktail waitresses from LA, who can you trust?

uh not to interupt.. But in a (very old) interview.. His mom indicated that she thinks He is..
she thinks that due to his bi-race heritage He will be able to (paraphrase) "heal the gap in the races"
and that He was sent to earth to do this very thing
