Looks like iTunes may be feeling some pressure from Amazon...

I downloaded it and I'm listening to it now. Most of it isn't too bad but Mannheim Steamroller? People really listen to that s*** on purpose? I thought Trans Siberian Orchestra was the height of suckitude but these guys bring it to a whole new level. :o :o :o

Careful, LIPH!! I've got a ticket to go see them next Saturday night — and it cost me nearly as much as my ticket to see Jimmy at Alpine Valley last August. I've been a fan of Chip Davis and these guys since the mid-1970s when they were calling themselves 'The Old Home Band' or 'The Fort Calhoun Nuclear Power Plant Boys' and were backing up C. W. McCall (the "Convoy" fella).

And yes, people listen to this music on purpose. So many, in fact, that their first Christmas album (issued 25 years ago, in 1984) is still in release and has been certified "6x platinum" by the RIAA.

I will agree with you on one point however; they could have selected a better song than the one they did include.

Thanks for the link. I downloaded it and burned it to a CD. We listened to it last night on the way to and from my son's school for their Christmas pageant. Image

If you want more free Christmas music, Amazon is giving away a free song every day from December 1 until Christmas Day. You can still get the ones they've given away since the deal started. Go to the MP3 downloads page and look for the link for 25 For Free or whatever they call it. Be warned though, one of the songs is by Lady Ga Ga. :o

What are you complaining about - it's FREE.

That doesn't mean it's 100% good.

The Billy Bob Thornton one isn't any better. Honestly, what were they thinking? :-?

I"m really surprised Amazon hasn't pulled both of them, given all the complaints.

I know what you mean. The NY Post did the same thing on its website last year, 1 free song every day in December. That's where I first heard the Lady Gaga song. But she's from the NYC area (Westchester county just north of NYC, I think) and it is the NY Post.
