Jimmy Unpredictable?

Post by HurricaneSeason »

I guess I really don't get it when Jimmy says he's unpredictable. What does he mean? What is he talking about? Is he unpredictable?

If he told you, Charleston would have to kill you.
If you want an experience, go to a Jimmy Buffett concert.

Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.

Life is short, live long!!

I'd rather be a wiseass than a dumbass.

Unpredictable can be very good. It means he does not live life in the same old box. It means just when folks may think that they have Jimmy figured out, he is going to do something totally different and maybe not the status quo.

Kinda unpredictable when it comes to west coast dates . . .
Hank Hill : Just in case I'm incapacitated for some reason, do you know how to start a man's heart with a downed power line?

Bobby: No.

Hank : Well, there's really no wrong way to do it.

When did he say he was unpredictable? Maybe we should start to expect something big, wierd, and out of the ordinary :o (like he was hinting at something maybe, and only the people that closley follow him would catch the hint, and they wouldn't be surprised, but everyone else would be blown out of the water!!)

Wouldn't it be nice to see some more unpredictability in concert set lists?

Oh I know. This year, you could even tell what jimmy was going to say in between the songs! Come on. Change it up a little.

When Jimmy says he is unpredictable I do not believe he is talking about just the music. He is unpredictable on other levels in his life that only those who are close to him can see and that fans have no clue.

This album has allowed him to dare to be different, so I hope that he throws caution to the wind like he did with this new album and dares to think out of the box and dares to be different on the 2010 tour. Of course, there will be those who will want the show with most of the set being songs that they know from back to front, so we will see what he comes up with.

What I am about to say is not a criticism. We have something that most artists do not have and that is radio margaritaville where just about every concert is broadcast. A lot of folks listen to just about every show on line. Nothing wrong with that at all, but if you go to multiple shows or listen to every show on line it will become predictable to you.

Good point, Liz. :) Which is why we generally only listen to one or two shows during the tour. :)

Well him doing Turn Up The Heat... was quite predictable since he's done that kind of song before and no matter how many times he does that it just doesn't improve.

Regardless of that, I've just never understood him when he says that. And what does it matter? Maybe that's his way of reaffirming that he's not strictly a nostalgia act?

Maybe he gets bored easily nowadays. He's been everywhere, done almost everything he wants. Wait until he has grandchildren.....now there's unpredictablility right there.
