At first look, I thought it was pretty cool...but then taking into account what all Don said, I'm thinking I'll just stick with what I got.

The revue I read said you might as well just plug your regular charger into your device. The only nice thing it said was that it only took up one outlet for multiple devices.
I'm wondering how many power receivers you get with it. I'm guessing that since each device is different they don't come with any and you have to buy the ones you need.
hmmm
that is true
Just trying to think of something different to get for my SO

A hooker?
OH COME ON - it would be different!!!

One would have to be willing to travel and even go to KANSAS~~~~
LOL
truely a situation where all you have to do is throw money at the problem and there is resolution. KA is a "surcharge state" from what I understand...

Back on topic, even though i do like the off topic.
The Power Mat is awesome, I have one at the house and one I travel with. I have the back on my blackberry where all I have to do is lay it on the mat and it charges it. My daughter sets her DSi right on it to charge and we have the adapter for the ipods. majority of new phones are coming out with the charger made in so all you have to do is set it directly on the mat.
We love them at our house and have bought 2 for Christmas gifts this year.

I hadn't heard of them today. I think I'll pick up a few for the house.

I was unaware that the manufacturers were building the charger into their product but it sounds like a natural progression.
Now I would be more apt to look at this product after we get new phones.

Here's what I use for charging my cell phone. Don't have an iPod or any of the other trendy electronic gizmos.
The "Socket Pocket" from ThinkGeek.
And not to try to spam the board, but I've got a couple of extras (in tan/almond) that I'm not going to use; if you'd like to buy one shoot me a PM.
