My daughter's friend and his co-workers were informed this month that the restaurant they work at in Toronto's Entertainment District will be closing on Jan. 1.
In the speech to staffers, management said the "people" who had been recently touring the facility would be taking over the place and turning it into "a Margaritaville." It will not re-open until at least late 2010. In other words, get another job.
True story? Or is it just convenient to blame Jimmy Buffett?
(I've seen posts on other Canadian Margaritavilles - Niagara, Falls, Edmonton and Calgary - but not this one. Excuse me if I'm duplicating here.)
Merry Christmas to all.
