Living here I get more info than the press shows. They are trying to paint things lightly.

He is more of a pervert than I am comfortable with. (that should say something) He was

This is also an old story, he fled from police, when caught he tried to use his title to get out

actually, I found the SC story following a link to a story at the top of the page. Pregnant (and very visibly-pregnant) stripper in Akron decided she didn't like the competition a 50 year old woman on her first night in the club posed, so she attacked her with a stiletto heeled shoe (victim got 9 staples to repair the damage to her face, attacker got a year probation).

I like to think of the story about the Asst. AG as just serendipitous, given his political record. ("You're a perv, my quirks are just eccentric")

technically, it was the cop's wife who worked in the AG's office and providing the confirmation. And, as it would turn out, the report to the AG who then fired "Nooner". Now, I'd have to say fleeing the scene for a few blocks, and then badging the cop... not the brightest move out there.

The Public Works Director from one of our beach towns was just pulled over and arrested for open container while driving on the beach.....in his city vehicle. He identified himself, by job title, and became combative with the officer. Said he's been doing it for two years, didn't understand why it was a problem now. Also admitted to having 3-4 beers. Now suspended without pay pending outcome of the investigation. Add to this little news nugget the current story of another beach city Director of Public Safety having his gun stolen out of his unlocked vehicle glove box, and then lying about it and getting caught by the local newspaper, and it's been a busy news cycle in our little corner of South Carolina.

Oh, and forget to mention the 2 county officers who were fired for taking extra duty pay for patrolling an area that they didn't actually patrol, and then there were the 2 officers who got caught mooning people along the Waterway around the Fourth of July. The hits just keep on coming.
