The Tigers might get no-hit a few more times after losing 1/3 of their lineup in the past week. Pitch around Cabrera and the other eight don't pose much of a problem.

Mets & Padres now the last two teams without a no-hitter.

Six pitchers have thrown no-hitters after the Mets traded them:
Nolan Ryan
Tom Seaver
Mike Scott
Dwight Gooden
David Cone (perfect game)
Hideo Nomo

Gooden and Cone both pitched theirs for the Yankees. Ba$tards Nomo is the only pitcher to throw a no-hitter before coming to the Mets (for the Dodgers) and after being traded (for the Red Sox).

I think we have a new all-time low for the stupidest sports injury!!!

Chris Coghlan pulled a Kendry Morales, but did him better. Morales, as you might recall, injured himself earlier this year celebrating a walk-off home-run.

Coghlan has hurt himself celebrating a team-mates game-winning hit. So now you're picturing a mob scene at the plate, like in the case of Morales, right? Wrong.

Coghlan was injured while hitting Wes Helms in the face with a shaving-cream pie during a post-game interview. He's out for 6-8 weeks with a torn meniscus in his knee.

Who dumped the first Gatorade bucket on the coach? That's who I blame for all these idiotic celebrations. They act like they've never won a game before. The Marlins beating the Braves in the middle of July is cause for that kind of celebration?

I feel for the guy who was injured putting a pie in someone's face.

Most of my bone breaks have been embarrassing. Never skiing or something dangerous. Tripping at a garage sale is just plain embarrassing.

sigh! Elisaul Pimental was supposed to pitch for the Loons tonight. We've lost quite a few ofour players mid season this year. Sands got promoted, Rubby DeLarosa got promoted, and now Elisaul has been traded.

07/29/10 8:54 PM ET

SAN DIEGO -- The Padres' decision to trade for six-time All-Star infielder Miguel Tejada of the Orioles on Thursday was not the machinations of an impetuous general manager by any stretch of the imagination.

In yesterday's Tigers-Red Sox game, Ryan Raburn struck out with the putout scored 2-1-3. Don't think I've ever seen that before.
