Bill, you have done a wonderful job and it surely is time for you to just come out and play. ETP, same for you. I'm like Wheatsailor, over 300 miles away. I will do anything I can to help from this far out, though. If there is any organization, tracking, ordering, etc. that can be done from San Antonio, I can do it. I'm sure our group will rise to the occasion. Maybe we can develop a little planning committee and designate tasks. Bill, we probably will have some questions and such, but I bet we can get it set up if you'll help put on the training wheels.

Re: Frisco 2010
Hey Guys- I haven't been to FFF in two years and this year still remains to be seen (depending on the date). SOOOOO take my opinion for what it's worth...
BUT what if we just did it like the rest of the tailgates are handled. Someone could be in charge of updating the board and everyone could just pitch in and bring something. Everyone could just tailgate together in the same location and perhaps share food if they wanted. We could all make a donation to one specific charity or organization (so many BNers are currently raising money for different organizations)
It wouldn't raise money specifically however would keep the spirit of FFF alive. Just a thought.....

There's this one particular harbor.....

Bill, i definitely understand you "downshifting" your involvement in FFF. Just want you know how much everybody appreciates all that you have accomplished the last several years. Kick back & enjoy the party.
Hank Hill : Just in case I'm incapacitated for some reason, do you know how to start a man's heart with a downed power line?
Bobby: No.
Hank : Well, there's really no wrong way to do it.

No dunk tank? That's just crazy talk. Did I ever mention that I got Kirsten at RM to commit to taking a turn next time around? I'll just try to have it picked up and delivered - that shouldn't be a problem with more notice this time around. And yes I'll bring the Leaky Tiki with me, let's not get too carried away with the cutting back. I'll let someone else crawl under the street to run the fire hose though.
Thanks for all the understanding posts, PM's and phone calls. It is great to be part of this phamily.

I would also like to add that every trip to Dallas has been a great one because of the stuff you guys do. While I understand the "taking a break", please don't go cold turkey, at least be around to answer questions and consult a tad for the folks stepping up? Something this big is pretty daunting w/out some backstopping.

I will absolutely be available to answer questions and offer advice if needed, or help drive major decisions as they come up. Sorry if I haven't been clear about that.

I can handle this along with bringing the hose again.

Bill, you rock. I said it before, but I'll say it again. Thanks so much for all you've done, and enjoy the view from the not-so-cheap seats this time around.

Re: Frisco 2010
that's what I was thinking, that'd be crazy. It was a major money raiser for last year....think we're all smacking our foreheads for not having it previous years.Mr Play wrote:No dunk tank? Speaking of money raising...anyone heard anything from the Boston boys?? I know, it's a bit early and we don't have a date.
That was the other thing I thought of I'd volunteer but someone already did and I'm not sure I'd fit

Sites back up....no updates to the April or May 2010 calendar.danielmorgan03 wrote:Pizza Hut Park's site is down...wondering if they are updating the site.
The announcement on 04/18/2009 still reads: "Jimmy Buffett & the Coral Reefer Band Saturday, April 24" so they didn't "fix" that either.
