No date announced yet, but.......Margaritaville just posted May 20th show at Cynthia Woods in Houston. That would make sense for the Frisco date to be 5/22. I would say its a given. Tix for that show are on sale 2/20. My guess is Frisco will be the same.

I agree, May 22nd looks like a certainty. For those concerned about Sharkstock, contingency plans are already in motion and it will be moved to a later date if the 22nd is confirmed!

I'll just try to have it picked up and delivered - that shouldn't be a problem with more notice this time around. And yes I'll bring the Leaky Tiki with me, let's not get too carried away with the cutting back. I'll let someone else crawl under the street to run the fire hose though.

Thanks for all the understanding posts, PM's and phone calls. It is great to be part of this phamily.
that's what I was thinking, that'd be crazy. It was a major money raiser for last year....think we're all smacking our foreheads for not having it previous years.

Speaking of money raising...anyone heard anything from the Boston boys?? I know, it's a bit early and we don't have a date.

That was the other thing I thought of I'd volunteer but someone already did and I'm not sure I'd fit

I hope the Boston boys show again. They were a great addition.

sunseeker wrote:Hey Guys- I haven't been to FFF in two years and this year still remains to be seen (depending on the date). SOOOOO take my opinion for what it's worth...

BUT what if we just did it like the rest of the tailgates are handled. Someone could be in charge of updating the board and everyone could just pitch in and bring something. Everyone could just tailgate together in the same location and perhaps share food if they wanted. We could all make a donation to one specific charity or organization (so many BNers are currently raising money for different organizations)

It wouldn't raise money specifically however would keep the spirit of FFF alive. Just a thought.....
I agree Shannon! Such a great foundation has been laid for the FFF that the "essence" can continue. Keep it simple with the great friends that have been made over the past three years. I hope we can make it!

With it just announced that Jimmy will be in Houston on May 20th, it seems that the May 22nd rumors in Frisco hold true

Makes sense to me. Hotel booked. Now to start planning FFF IV
This means we have to wait an extra month for April....or what feels like April to me anyway....April without a Texas visit won't be the same. But May is good....right? How's the weather there in May? Hot, what about rain and thunder?

May is just a tad bit warmer than April. Last year it was kinda cool so I'm hoping it will be warmer.

There is a possibility of rain, hail, thunder and tornados, after all it's Texas in the spring. Nothing much to be worried about though.

Last year it was 82 with a low of 70. Record High for that date in Frisco is 98 (2005), record Low 55 (2001)

So that means it could be hot or cool :D

It seemed WAY cooler than 70. Could have been the morning drizzle and clouds. All I know is that I had fully expected to be able to wear shorts all day and was too cool to wear them. I was sad to have traveled 2200 miles south and not get good sun that day.
