So for the last two years Jimmy has played PHP in Frisco and it has been in the middle of the month. So while hoping for the same I decided to do some advanced planning and book a room at the Comfort Suites next to PHP. I also wanted to cover all my bases so I booked multiple weekends, so here is how it went:

Apr 9 to 11 just 80 dollars for each night; Apr 16 to 18 I could only book Apr 16 as the 17th was booked. I thought perhaps this was the weekend until I go to Apr 23 to 25. Both of these nights came back for $239 a night and you could not book just the Friday night. Additionally the previous two weekends I booked had cancellations dates of the day of check in, however the weekend of the 23rd had a cancellation date of February 22nd.

I did not book b/c of how outrageous that rate is plus the early cancellation date. I did however book the Holiday Inn Express over on Preston Rd (2.5 miles away) for $60 each night.

Make your reservations b/c I'm calling it now, Buffet will play Frisco on Saturday April 24th.

This would make sense, my GFs birthday is 4/22 and for the last 2 years it has been the weekend right around her birthday. Hotel rates are hiked that weekend, because of the 'past trend' that hey have seen on that weekend.

We got really lucky last year. The hotel was brand new and didn't have a clue. They learned their lesson.

Some of us have tried to book a room with them at last year's prices, to no avail.

It was very convenient, but noisy. We were on the first level, at the back ... and RV city stayed open - and loud - 24/7.

Did JB play there last year? When was the cancellation of shows? Does anyone know for sure that he's going out West in '010? Just curious.

It's been a long time since Jimmy missed Dallas (Frisco is a suburb.).

Hilton Garden Inn just south of the PHP had rooms a month ago for 59 a night for both middle weekends. Booked for both.

Just booked for $79!! Gotta hope now for one of those two dates.

I'm betting on the 24th - that's when it's been the last 2 years.........and why on earth would the Comfort Inn be $239 for those nights???? Geesh.........yep, last year they didn't have a clue.......I bet due to the number of concerts at PHP, they've learned their lesson, but that is outrageous.

Last year the Comfort Suites was booked for one of the weekends but when 18th was annouched it sold out within a couple of hours, I was lucky and got one of the last rooms even though I do think some opened up later.
It was a great location. We were on the front of the building and did not have much noise.....I was kinda wanting on the back where I could see everything

I have not booked anything yet........just waiting.

Just hoping there is a FFF IV!!!!

Yes, this will be Frisco 4 - not 3 - but then I started to mention that but decided not to. And you are correct - it was the 18th. We have an event here in Fort Worth called Prairie Fest and the friend I usually get the tent/canopy I bring usually needs them all because the two years before last year and even before that they were always the same day..........last year I did get to bring it!

I just wish they would hurry up and announce the dates!

Has anyone heard anything about the Frisco concert this year? Doesn't it usually get posted around this time?

Don't think anyone has heard anything yet...but you are right, it is usually announced about this time but I do remember buying tickets either the end of January or first part of February.......so hopefully we'll find out soon.

I checked Hilton Garden too and their non-refundable rate is $59 & $69, but it looks like you can get a refundable rate for $72. Haven't checked directly with them yet.

Hmmmm.........we need to have a chat about what concerts will be in the plan for this year. We said for the past 2 years that we were going to Frisco but "things" got in the way. I'd like to go to Frisco if we can....

Thats why we just call Bob and get one of his beautiful RV's no hassle no fuss. And the bonus is to keep a fellow parrothead in business.
