I thought you were staying at the courtyard marriot. It is only .4 miles away if you are driving. Probably closer on foot.
Like Parrothead said, park at the Courtyard and then walk down. Its not far at all.
It takes like 5 minutes to stumble, er um, I mean walk there.

I've been latching onto other people's tailgates for years!! Get a cooler with wheels, fill it with beer and a bottle of booze, some plastic cups (and a few extra bucks, just in case) and you are good to go.
Take me for what I am, a star newly emerging.
I accept the new found man, and I set the twilight reeling.

But then you have to carry your cooler back to the hotel before you go inside. That seems like alot of work. I really want my wife to experience the tailgating but we are staying at the Marriott so we may just party it up there before making the trek. Maybe someone on here would be so kind as to let us hang with them if they happen to have some extras room in their cooler? I also have two tickets that I bought just to sell once I got up there (at face value of course) in case the financial gremlins got me the week before the show. They are the $38.00 seats. I am not going to sell them until I get to the arena. They are kind of my show fund. If anyone is interested let me know. I am afraid I won't be able to get rid of them because the show still hasn't sold out.

I just find someone I can trust and say "Can I store this in your trunk until after the show?" Always get an "Of course."

We plan on doing the pre-party at the Courtyard, and then about an hour before the show, go over to the tailgate area and walk around with a LARGE mug of adult beverage.

You SHOULD be able to get rid of these at the show. $38 is a lot easier to choke up than the $130, which I am still pulling up. 2 in section 104. The times are a changing...

Come earlier if you can, I know about you pholks, though we have never
met. I am trying to get us in with the local club as far as the lot for
tailgating. There is one dirt/grass lot with trees on the perimeter.
Since I live here and wont be staying at a hotel, I am going to be parking in the parking lot. If anyone wants to put their stuff in my trunk till after the show they are more then welcome.

Well, I had no clue until last night, but apparently there is a bar/restaurant called "Parrotheads" in downtown Columbia in Five Points. Looked them up on Facebook and they have some pictures and drink specials on there. Hey Jack, looks like I found a place to go to on Monday if your interested. The waitresses alone make me want to make the trip down.
Here is the link to the facebook page if anyone wants to look at it.
Picked up Monday's mail when I got home from work at 12:30 Tuesday morning, found the tickets waiting. Thirty minutes into my birthday, and I already had my first present! Thanks to my lovely wife and wonderful in-laws for one of the best gifts ever, a great start to a perfect birthday. And the first time I haven't had lawn tickets. Hope the seats are good!
