i just got an email from the BA center saying the parking lot opens at 2pm

I got the same e-mail and the Bank Atlantic site also says 2 p.m. for pre-paid parking, so maybe there's a difference for paying to park at the gate... anybody have any clarification??? Buelller.... Bueller.... ANYONE????

It has a section "tailgating" and that parking opens at 2pm

Jeff (Maufro) and I set the time based on past experiences. I cannot recall if they set a lot opening time in the past, but the last two times Jimmy has played there, the lots were open way before 2. I'll be in Orlando for the Thursday show, as will Jeff, and well discuss the situation. If anything changes, I'll let you know.

I took Friday off to give my liver a full day of rest to prepare for a well paced marathon.... weather.com is predicting a 60% chance of rain for Sunrise on Saturday so I'm working on borrowing a tarp to add to the mix... i'll also have a "privacy tent" set up to change in if anyone needs to change into dry clothes in case they get caught in a downpour while wandering... two more days then only eight more weeks.... unlike Santa he comes around TWICE this year.... even more for those who went to Jacksonville or are heading to Orlando....

I absolutely do NOT miss New England winters, but there's a very fond place in my heart for Labor Day weekend shows at Great Woods.... I knew it was time to move when he stopped that tradition and moved the dates.... Fins UP and whatnot....

Safe travels to everyone coming in for Saturday's Sunrise Show.

As everyone has rec'd an email from the venue stating a 2pm opening time - the last 2 shows we were in and set up well before 2. My take is this is their attempt to discourage early arrivals; I've heard it before several shows all over the place

The local PH clubs say they are arriving at 1:30; since our planned meeting place is right across the street from the venue we will be able to gauge the activity.

I say we caravan over after everyone is accounted for and be gracious to the lot attendant if they haven't opened the lots to convince him to let us in.

The restaurant is in the circle around the Sawgrass Mills Mall. It is across the street from the arenas parking lot. The map also shows the Saturday meeting spot.

There is an outdoor area there that will be great for us. I had lunch there recently to check it out. He is a picture of part of it, with the arena in the background! The second picture is just for fun!

Saturday A.M. The plan is to meet at the movie theater (Regal Sawgrass 23) located on the north side of the Sawgrass Mills Mall around 10. The theater is just down from Bahama Breeze, and is in The Oasis part of the mall. There is plenty of signage for both. The map above shows the theater. The plan is for us to all roll into the lot together. It looks there will be 3 canopies and a good amount of chairs. If you driving from home, it might not be a bad idea to bring your own chair.

Jeff (Maufro) and I are bringing small grills that will be a self service grill. Hamburgers and hot dogs are gonna be available. All you need to bring for yourself is your own chips and such as well as beverages. Condiments, plates and such will be provided. The money will be collected by me either Friday night at Bahama Breeze, or Saturday at the tailgate. If you wish to be part of this and have not already contacted me, please do byWednesday Feb 24. The cost is $6 per person.

If there are any questions/suggestions please PM me.
