Sarah Palin joins Fox News
Sarah Palin Joining Fox News as Contributor
Sarah Palin will soon be a contributor on Fox News Channel, the New York Times reports.
The controversial former Alaska governor and Republican vice presidential candidate will not have a regular program of her own on Fox News, unlike 2008 GOP presidential candidate Mike Huckabee. But she will appear as a contributor and "host an occasional series that will run on the network from time to time."
According to the Times, Palin's compensation was not disclosed. A formal announcement of the deal could come this afternoon.

UGH.... I do NOT want politicians delivering my news. I don't care if they're left, right, center, or somewhere out near the moon. They don't belong in a newsroom. Ugh, ugh, ugh.....

Me, either, SGH. Me, either. I like Mike Huckabee, but I don't watch his show for the exact same reason ...

Exactly...and put George Stephanopoulos on that list too...politicians actually have to work twice as hard to get half as much credibility from me, and none of those listed have much at all. They are all puppets of the party they belong to or once served and used to skewer and slant the news to tell the story how the party wants it told.....UGH!!!East Texas Parrothead wrote:Me, either, SGH. Fox is apparently attempting to out-Colbert Colbert.
Can you imagine a FN "Point/CounterPoint" starring Palin & Glenn Beck?

Re: Sarah Palin joins Fox News
This news has caused quite a stir over at teamsarah.org, although there seems to be mixed reaction. Some supporters are concerned that this might preclude a 2012 presidential bid while others think it will be a good opportunity for her to make millions of dollars saying what she wants to say and influencing the political debate from her post at Fox News. Some have even suggested that working with Fox News will give her 'press credentials' thus enabling her to travel abroad and see things that many don't get to see (Russia?) and meet people that others don't get to meet (Putin?). And of course the general consensus seems to be that God has opened a door for her and she will plow through it.
Personally I would like to see Sarah "Rogue" Palin team up with Glenn "Cryin' Tom Paine" Beck and mount an insurgent campaign from the Right on a third party ticket, and have an impact on the Right (and the GOP) similar to the effect that Ralph Nader has, periodically, had on the Left, except of course to a much greater degree.
In short, a Palin/Beck campaign, every teabaggers' dream ticket, would be the perfect "spoiler" in the 2012 presidential election.
From that perspective I wish them well.
Naturally if they won, I'd have to shoot myself.

Perhaps I'm missing something, but I really don't see the comments here as anyone in a tizzy. I will readily admit I have not seen comments elsewhere. So how is it that "the left is in a tizzy"?backstreets77 wrote:I love when the left is in an tizzy.

Re: Sarah Palin joins Fox News
Just a reminder — between 1976 and 1979 (when he launched his successful Presidential campaign) Reagan had a daily news commentary on radio.
