I like!!! :D :D :D

I really hope Jimmy keeps Rhumba Man in too!!

I would love to hear "Island" as a final encore!!
i know i've heard "island " as an encore at least once and i'm thinking twice. everytime i hear that song, it really tugs at my heart strings. it so makes me think of st. barths's and how i'll do just about anything to get there. i always cry.
I am crying right now Carol. You are going to St Barth's without us.

Pam, I relive the trip too. Wish we could go this year!! Miss my new phriends. Need vanilla rhum!!

Wino you know wrote:"Nobody From Nowhere" would be a great opening song, followed immediately by "Rhumba Man."

Other opening songs I've liked over the years-
Stars On the Water (I know, I know-it's a cover, but it's still a fun song)
Cuban Crime of Passion (on the Havana Daydreamin' tour in 1997)
Lage Nom Ae
Great Heart
Migration (Dallas-2006)\

Also,
he did "Changes In Latitudes" as an opening song on (I think) the License To Chill tour a few years ago.
A great song, to be sure (THE song that got me listening to Jimmy), but as an OPENING song?
Oh well, as long as there IS an opening song.

And he did preform "Take Another Road" at the West Palm Beach concert in 2001-just days after Dale Earnhardt was killed. He dedicated the song (the final encore song) to Dale.
Garry those arre all really great songs. as you said "stars on the water " is a cover but i just love the way he covers it.
Yup, and it always makes me think of the Hurricane Hannah show!
That show was awesome....especially with that version of Stars On the Water as it began to pour [smilie=coolup.gif] [smilie=cool_goatee.gif] [smilie=coolup.gif] and closing the show with an accoustic "Trying to Reason with Hurricane Season"....WOW!!!

Same here, when I was in SBH I was overwhelmed, and trying to burn every memory in my brain

That is in the pre-show line up I think. I'm sorry, I'd miss "Hot Hot Hot" it's just come to symbolize FUN to me now.

The only one of those I've never heard at ANY of his concerts is Somewhere Over China.
Which is THE one I want to hear.

Okay, I want to hear them ALL, but especially S.O.C.

It was fine for a few years, but to me it's just old now. Don't be sorry, it's what you like, Pam! :)
Since we've not seen him for many years, it just doesn't go over that well on RM as it might in person. :)

I just thought of a couple more that would be good opening songs-
Quietly Making Noise
Prince of Tides

I agree, I think BIG TOP would be a great opening and obvious choice.

"Just like santa I come around once a year-time to break out all your party gear- There'll be a jump up out on the lawn, just look for those fans, singing along with your favorites once again!"

(although 'Getting the Picture' would be a nice surprise!)

hello texas
who's the blonde stranger

northeast texas women
migration
i love all those songs. i wish he would play them also
