Buffett's Tea

Post by Patriotic Phlocker »

With Jimmy coming out with his own line of teas. I was shocked and a bit disappointed that the "Long Island Ice Tea" was not amoung the flavors. Your thoughts....

And I was wondering if Paradise Teas, the company whose tea Cheescake Factory serves, will object to the name of these products.

Not sure, but I know Paradise Teas is owned by Sara Lee. I worked on an M&A accounting project for them and it was available 24/7. I drank my self silly on the stuff. I still love it to this day, but it is hard to find outside of the CC Factory.

Jimmy's teas: Paradise Key Teas

Sara Lee's teas: Paradise Tropical Teas

The names must have been just different enough to trademark?
Jimmy's tea is made by 9th Street Beverages, a non-alcohol division of Anheuser-Busch.

I tried some Firefly Sweet Tea with vodka in Tampa. From what I remember it was good.

A-B InBev is 10 times larger than Sara Lee. I guess we'll find out if size matters.

Yes sir, I do believe you will have to do just that. Tyler got a hold of one of them for me to try at the Nissan show (I want to say it was the green tea) it was okay. I'm not a great fan of green tea though. But it was more gooder b/c my Tyler went through the whole (drunken) cloak and dagger routine to get it for me and insisted that I was only the sixth human being outside of Jimmy Buffett's organization to try it. THAT was priceless!!!! (I wonder if Monsieur Tyler remembers that?) [smilie=battingeyes.gif]

We love iced tea. The flavors sounds tasty and tempting. Can't wait to try these. Do we know which stores are going to sell them?

Thanks for posting about these.

Also like the name and the label. Both very appropriate.

When we taste them, we'll come back and post and tell you what we think about the flavor.

They had the Paradise Key Diet Peach Red Tea at MOTM. Let's just say, it was not the best diet iced tea that I have ever tasted. I'm looking forward to trying the other flavors.

I've never liked the taste of any drink that was diet. But will try it and see. I may be pleasantly surprised. But am anxious to try the other flavors.

I agree-I drink some Diet Snapple teas, but I would prefer they used no sweetener at all.
