Wheels up at 4:30. Should have plenty of time for lunch, border traffic, and pass thru security to make it a super crazy Buffett weekend.
Might not chance it though. would hate to miss the Sandbar party...

Just a friendly reminder for anyone who might not be aware and are planning to visit the new cafe.
All persons traveling to Canada are required to carry valid proof of citizenshipp consistening of a valid passport.
If you do not have a passport:
Applications are available at your local post office or can be printed from the U.S. State website:
http://travel.state.gov. You can also call the National Passport Information Center at: 1-900-225-5674 (this is a toll call).
Upon sending the application please allow 4-6 weeks for the paperwork to be processed and to for you to receive your passport.
If you already have a passport, it must be valid for more than 6 months after your scheduled return date. So check your expiration date.

I don't know if you have enhanced drivers licenses or passport cards in the US but they are usually a faster turn around. But, as an unofficial ambassador to Canada, please don't end your trip at M-ville, keep going and visit all of Southern Ontario. Toronto is only 1.5 hours from the border and Niagara on the Lake is only a beautiful 20 min. drive down the parkway. You don't need to take my word for it: Winston Churchill described the Parkway drive as the most beautiful 20 mins a person could spend.

You can use the enhanced lisence only if you are driving over, not if you will
be flying in.

Fallsview casino is next door.
There is also a Marriott, Hilton, Embassy Suites and Days Inn not far.

Just had another thought. If the rates there are really over priced then consider staying on the American side of the Falls. There is: Seneca Niagara casino/hotel, Holiday Inn, Hampton Inn and a Days Inn. All are easily accessible to the Rainbow Bridge. The Seneca Niagara casino usually offers free or really inexpensive parking if you have a players card. All the other hotels on the American side that I mentioned have free parking.

There's a Days Inn and I believe a Howard Johnson right at the foot of the Rainbow Bridge. A really quick drive if you hit the bridge at the right time or about a 20-25 minute walk plus whatever time you spend at customs.

ok...let me get this straight..... Jimmy is playing less than an hour away in Mass on Thursday and Saturday, and the grand opening of the FIRST Margaritaville in Canada is on the in-between day (Friday) and you "Bet" he wont be there??? are you serious? or just trying to keep it a secret so you can have more elbow room at the bar?? my only hope is he is there later in the day rather than earlier......upper deck... see you there....

He wasn't at the Margaritaville in Las Vegas opening day. He wasn't at the Margaritaville in Myrtle Beach opening day. He wasn't at the Margaritaville in Panama City Beach opening day. I don't think he was at the Margaritaville in Mohegan Sun opening day. What makes anyone think he'll be at this one opening day? I'm guessing he won't be anywhere near the place because it's going to be a zoo.
