You make me smile like the sun
Fall out of bed sing like a bird
Dizzy in my head spin like a record
Crazy on a Sunday night
You make me dance like a fool
Forget how to breathe
Shine like gold buzz like a bee
Just the thought of you can drive me wild
Ohh you make me smile
<-----smiling

I once knew a poet
Who lived before his time
He and his dog Spooner
Would listen while he'd rhyme
Words to make ya happy
Words to make you cry
Then one day that poet
Suddenly did die

I can't dance, but I feel like dancin'
Not with anyone, only you
You're as true as love can be
You're all that matters to me
Out in the rain, lost as I was
I said "You think it'll ever stop"
You said "It always does"
And you were right, look and see
You're all that matters to me
All that matters, all that matters
You're all that matters to me
I don't care if I know
Where we come from or where we'll go
You're all that matters to me

Been listening to a Garth Brooks Hits disk this PM so there are way too many songs running through my head. I don't care if you're from New England, the South, CA, or Texas...that's some fine music!

Heck yes! I live about 2 hours from Nashville and I've been to a bunch of country concerts...Brad Paisley, George Strait, Zac Brown, Reba, Dierks Bentley, Brooks & Dunn and the list goes on....but never GARTH. He's my favorite. The Barry Sanders of country. He left while he was in his prime. I heard he's in Vegas. Guess I better pack my bags.

I may not have the softest touch
I may not say the words as such
And though I may not look like much
I'm yours
And though my edges may be rough
I never feel I'm quite enough
And it may not seem like very much
But I'm yours
Yeah, a bit sappy, but a friend gave me a copy of the The Script CD and it's what I've been listening to all mornin'...and that song's kinda nice.

If you're lost you can look--and you will find me
Time after time
If you fall I will catch you--I'll be waiting
Time after time
After my picture fades and darkness has
Turned to gray
Watching through the windows--you're wondering
If I'm OK
Secrets are stolen from deep inside
The drum beats out of time--
But it's Rob Thomas' voice I hear singing it, not Cyndi Lauper.

Boat drinks
Boys in the band ordered boat drinks
Visitors scored on the home rink
Everything seems to be wrong
Lately, newspaper mentioned cheap air fare
I gotta to fly to saint somewhere
Im close to bodily harm
Twenty degrees and the hockey games on
Nobody cares they are way too far gone
Screamin boat drinks, something to keep em all warm
This mornin, I shot six holes in my freezer
I think I got cabin fever
Somebody sound the alarm
Id like to go where the pace of lifes slow
Could you beam me somewhere mr. scott?
Any ol place here on earth or in space
You pick the century and I'll pick the spot
Oh I know, (I know)
I should be leaving this climate
I got a verse but can't rhyme it
I gotta go where it's warm
Boat drinks
Waitress I need two more boat drinks
Then Im headin south fore my dream shrinks
I gotta go where it's warm (I gotta go where it's warm)
I gotta go where it's warm (I gotta go where it's warm)
I gotta go where it's warm!
I gotta go where there aint any snow
Where there aint any blow
Cause my fin sinks so low
I gotta go where it's warm

Heard "Dancin' in the Moonlight" while I was driving the keet to school today.
Thinking that might be a good cover for Jimmy.

Another song I would love for him to cover is "Hot Fun in the Summertime". Every time I hear it I can picture Jimmy and CRB doing it and the crowd singing along.

I've said that before too, that song brings back a lot of good memories for me. Would love to hear Jimmy do it.

Don't believe the words you read
They're written on the street
And every time you know you play their game
They'll knock you down and take your pride away
See how bad you need to cry
But no matter how you try
It's the same old story once again
You always have number one who calls you friend
I call you friend
You might say you ain't got a hold on yourself
You might say you always try your best
You might say you only need a rest
You might say you can only fool yourself
I said fool yourself
I said fool yourself
I said fool yourself

Ah that's a good one - a real 1 hit wonder...."Dancing in the Moonlight" is the title song on the 1973 King Harvest album. The track was released as a single the same year, and was King Harvest's only hit song. It reached #13 on the Billboard Hot 100.
(I'm not that smart...I looked it up )

Good job, Steve! I knew that was King Harvest's one and only hit song, but I remember it very well. Good good times associated with that one.
