Of course any more dates that are released may qualify.
As for a venue in Vegas, Jimmy has played Thomas & Mack before, but if he's planning on October dates, it probably won't be there. The PBR is in town for the National Finals from the 10th all the way through the 24th.
Mandalay is part of MGM, so if MGM isn't stable or if they've had a falling out with JB, then that's out.
Hard Rock's Joint doesn't appear big enough.
There's always the Orleans Arena.

The PBR is only 20-24th... Just checked the PBR Web Site, They have shows in Colombus, Ohio on the 10th...

My bad Joetown, I misread the event info.
 As for the arena size, MGM holds 17+ but only sells 14K tickets to Buffett shows. This comes from the seating diagram they've posted in the past on the MGM Grand website. I realize that's still five thousand more than the Orleans.
VA BEACH (97,16), BRISTOW (98-12, 15, 17,18, 21), NASHVILLE (99, 17), COLUMBIA, MD (00), GREENSBORO (01-02), RALEIGH (03), ANTIOCH, TN (03), CHULA VISTA (04), PHILADELPHIA (05), LAS VEGAS (06-16, 19), HOUSTON (07), ATLANTIC CITY (07), FRISCO, TX (08).

Tim McGraw played at the M. I would imagine Jimmy could do a couple of nights there. It is off the strip though....

We don't actually know that he is, but his contract with them (he had a 10 year contract) is over, and in that 10 years he's opened a hugely successful restaurant at a competing casino, bought another casino in Atlantic City that competes directly with MGM, and is building one more that, again, will compete with them in Biloxi. On top of that, MGM is flirting with bankruptcy courtesy of City Center (which was risky at the estimate, and a huge- like 4 billion over run huge- money pit for the actual cost), and Buffett shows don't sell out either the stadium or the hotel (since the PHs mostly want to be close to M'ville). So it stands to reason that they won't renew his contract.

I hope the MGM got the bathroom problem they had last year during the JB show fixed! That was plain gross!!!!! Literally rivers of backed up toilets flowing onto the floor during the show. They were using towels to create a d*m so it was underneath all the bleacher seating. Then the "air freshener" spray they used to cover the stench was hideous!!! I thought the whole MGM experience stunk!

That Las Vegas show was a spontaneous but wise decision on my part. I'm from small town michigan, and once I bought the concert ticket and booked the trip to Las Vegas fear set in, but once I arrived in LV I had one of the best weekends of my life with a bunch of awesome BNers.

Anyway, the thing I remember most about that show is that it was a fantastic setlist. Two things struck me funny midway through the show 1) the band took an intermission, but Jimmy did not take an intermission, and he proceeded to suddenly make the addition of God's Own Drunk. No problem, I could deal with that. 2) it started getting hot in the MGM Grand, but then again, I had a few margaritas in my system, and I was moving around and having fun, so no bother. It was not until after the show that I learned that Jimmy was asked not to take an intermission because a pipe in the fragile LV suer system burst, thus, creating a very stinky and poopy situation in the MGM Grand. They had to turn off the air conditioning in the arena to prevent the stench from spreading and to keep bacteria out of the air ducts. The hope was that if Jimmy did not take an intermission that it would minimize the crowd going to the bathroom. The nice thing is that nothing was said about the bathroom predicament during the show, and even though Jimmy did not take an intermission, he did not cut the show short either. I'm glad that I was not on the main floor when the s*** hit the fan.

I didn't miss it! We were on the floor and the river was swiftly moving toward us. It was very distracting because of all the carts of towels being rushed in and people running around to stop the streams. The street party, show and JB were awesome but the entire experience at MGM was pretty crappy!

Liz, so glad to see you on BN again! How are you and Sammie? We hung out together with Grams and LIPH at Margaritaville and I had so much fun with y'all there! You were so brave to make that trip with Sammie! I hope you are both well.

Hey Pam! Of course, I remember you. That was a very fun night at Margaritaville at Nadirah's show, and Sammie was such a good little sport about it all. Sammie and I are doing fine.

I had heard about the poop...and at one point I think I got a whiff, but it was a concert and I'm sure more than one had had mexican for dinner....I'll miss the MGM...I've had a lot of fun there, but truth be told the accoustic aren't all that great....I always liked the walk in with the crouds and the walk out....Vegas for us has always been about the Pre-pre show party and the pre-show party and the show (kinda an intermission in the parties) and then the post party amnd then recovery SUnday.... :D :D :o :o
