I'll never forget that first experience at Key largo (we booked thru Mike at TropoTravel). Yikes! We were on the second floor and the hallway had that funky wavy action as we walked to our room with our bucket full of Coronas. I swear nothing in that place was level. Our room looked our over a rusted air-conditioner unit. Very romantic. But then, hey, what did we expect for $49 a night? It was THE king of all dives-and those were crazy times! Home of hardcore Parrotheads, :D

It's been a lovely cruise.

You can still stay there on your next trip to Vegas if you like....you'll just have to share your room with a few homeless pholks.

Wow Deano- I thought that place was long gone. That's definitely a Vegas-Parrothead icon... of times gone by.

It is a lot now. They bulldozed it. Sad day that was! [smilie=cheeky-grin.gif]

I remember getting into my room and the roaches looked at me like "who are you?"

Did anyone else notice that the floor seat ticket prices went from $106 to $211 overnight?
