Hey, where is everybody? Awful quiet - like everybody's hung over or something.

Awesome set list, much improved (IMHO) from Alpine. Played my favorite, Down in the Banana Republics (wish the audience would shut up for songs they don't know by heart instead of talking through them!), and dropped some I don't care so much for. Sounds was excellent in B3, and sight lines very good. Wouldn't want to be in C or D. Security guys very serious about their role, appreciated that.

First Toyota Park show for me, long time Alpine, World, Indy, Cinci. Man, tailgating on asphalt is HOT! Glad we brought as much water as we did, could have brought twice the ice. Great crowd, less antics but also less drunken stupidity than some shows.

Hope everybody got home safe.

I don't mean to complain (well I guess I do since I'm posting this), but what's with the parking lot situation at Toyota Park? For those of you who have not gone there, they park the normal two rows of cars, but then they leave the equilvalent of ONE car length before the next two rows of cars! If the previous two rows have already set up their tailgate, then the next two rows have to setup in the one car length in the back. Maybe they need to 'squeeze' us in to get everyone into the lots, but wow what terrible tailgate room they have there. There isn't even any room to walk around the lot between vehicles to see everyone's decorations! We had a 'Shark Toss' game setup giving away leis, flamingo coasters, flowered hair clips, etc, but barely had enough room to operate.

The concert was the best I've been to in over 20 shows (..but of course, I probably always say that the latest one is my favorite). The set list was FANTASTIC! Weather was HOT HOT HOT, but after all, it is a Jimmy Buffett concert and should be held somewhere 'where it's warm'.

It was a GREAT time, but wish the venue could 'acquire' some additional parking facilities...Probably not likely for one show a year (but I can wish)...

Checking in hoping everyone faired well. I faired much better than last year. We didn't get in the lot till about 4. I-55 and then Cicero construction put us somewhat behind.

Met some nice people (Cleveland) and sat by some fans from Long Island. Stopped by Matt's tailgate for just a minute. Sorry we didn't get to Ellen's group but it was just too hot to mill around for us. I need to bedazzle an umbrella or something for next year. That asphalt was just too much.

Boat Drinks was awesome and I think we all knew it was coming. The Cup, Jimmy, Patrick Kane and the crowd......priceless!!!

I also thought Jimmy's energy was something I hadn't seen in some time. It was really a good concert and setlist. Banana Republics.......LOVE IT!!

We had a couple who made their way up the aisle which I didn't care but then talked the whole time??? Ok why crash our section just to talk. So I sang like a drunk and screamed the lyrics close their ears (probably out of tune). Geez. [smilie=cheeky-grin.gif]

First time on the floor and last time unless I could score front 5 or so rows. Too hard to see for the cash. Won't complain though, we've had our fun in the sun and seen JB and CR up close in St Barts.

We had fun as usual!!!

Simple--the venue holds close to 30,000 and they have 8000 or fewer parking places--there is absolutely no way to make everyone happy--last year, for those that really want a large tailgate set-up (Matt, for example), they started selling premium spaces. But unless the venue averages 4 people in a car, it is always going to be an issue there.

They cut the number of porta johns back considerably, but they still seemed to be more than adequate (the first year there were probably 10 times what you saw yesterday.

We have found the staff to be among the best, and each year they have made adjustments to better handle the crowd, so I am sure they will continue to work on this.

Wow.... What a great show!
The parking situation we expected, since last year was the same issue. Other than that, what a great time.

Had one of our party leave the parking lot on a stretcher, only to return a few hours later to enjoy the show. Too much, too fast, and too hot. Nothing a little AC and water didn't fix.... He was given a round of applause both leaving and returning. He's ready for next year just making some adjustments to his routine...

We got in a tussel with some frat boys in grass skirts at the bathrooms... Apparently they thought they didn't have to wait in line.

Setlist killed it! I would agree with other posters, the staff at Toyota Park is second to none....

My 20th show... and it was VERY enjoyable, and event filled....

Great concert and setlist, terrible parking lot (eventually they'll probably get it right but really there's not enough room for all of the cars/trailers, etc so you'll never please everyone....) I noticed this year they tried to add a few more people up front and it looked like it was pushed up a bit...Stanley Cup was both unexpected and a pleasant suprise

Nice meeting everyone again and hope to see a few of you again at another concert :)

Made it home safe and sound. Much better set list than the last few shows I have been too. Kris was suprised I didn't complain about the song choices like I usually do.

It was great to hear Banana Republics. Did you get that text I sent you Ellen?

Another fantastic time in the parking lot. One of these times we come to Chicago its going to be sunny and cool in the mid 70s!

Thanks again everyone for everything! We will see you all next time!

Checking in before I leave in about 8 hrs. Off to take my middle son to college. Picked up a power chair today for him. (He has cerebral palsy---doesn't walk much). So far he seems to have the hang of it pretty quick, He had to have one to get around campus. Still packing. Didn't get much time to recover from the show, LOL!! That said I had a really really GREAT time with everyone!! I wish it came more than once a year. The hugs were much appreciated, seeing old friends, making new ones. There is nothing much better than a Buffett show. Was thrilled to hear Jolly Mon. One of my faves that I have not heard in a very long time. We did walk the lot quite a bit and saw quite a bit. Even relaxed in a pool filled with ice... :o .... maybe a tad too cold. I really do love and appreciate the friendships I have made here. You all make the show that much better. Ok.... have to finish packing, sleep a few hours and start the 8 hour drive. Be nice if there was a tailgate at the other end, LOL!! See you all here in maybe a week. ^^^^^^^^^ :wench:

WOW...What a great concert! One of the best set lists I can remember. One suprise to me though was no songs from the new album and tour name??? Unless I drank more than I thought...That bottle of chilled Rose went down pretty fast in the lot!! My wife and I actually like this venue and the parking. Agree it is a little tight, but most folks are friendly...borrowed a bottle opener, gave a knife, received some ribs...PH's are wonderful people.
Now I need to talk the wife into Vegas!!!!!!
GREAT PHUN IN CHITOWN AGAIN!!!

It was great seeing everyone again this year. Thanks Ellen and Dave for getting everything organized. Next year Vicki is not working the day of the concert. We need are front row parking spots back

Wish there was another Saturday night concert to look forward to this week. :( Lets hope we get the second show back when the economy picks up.
Maybe we will be lucky enough to have a Mac "Sweet Tea" Utley show the night before

(((bufitonmybmw))) Sorry you were not able to make the show. Hopefully we will see you at a BBB show or at Peter Mayer this fall. The rest of this summer will hopefully be spent at the Marina. Let us know if you'd like to join us.
