So what did you think of The Who. I pretty much hated their performance. Their vocals were way off IMHO.

The half time show sucked (based on the last 2 or 3). The Who definitely showed their age. The light show was nice but there was no fan connection. Maybe if Pete Townsend busted up his Cherry Red Strat it might have stirred some excitement :o :o :o :o .

Whoever ran sound for them should have been shot..
Both Pete and Roger seemed to no longer have any vocal range.
It looked as though they should both be in a rest home, It was strange seening Pete's Gut
hanging out while doing his signature arm swing.
I thought the lightshow and stage were great.
Very sad to see them fail.
I wonder if they will get Carol King and James Taylor next..What other old Fogies are left?

Carol King and James Taylor are touring again. Hmmmmmmm

All I can say is I'm soooo glad Pete didn't have a wardrobe malfunction. :o

I think I saw paramedics standing by with oxygen and an AED.

If they are going to stick with the oldies theme ..... John Fogerty doing CCR songs would be a great show.
He could crank up the energy very nicely for a 15 minute halftime show.

I knew I liked you. Kindred spirits.
Fogerty will be 65 this May.
He still looks and sings like he's 30 years younger.

I've loved The Who since my earliest days...
but that was a sorry display I witnessed last night.

Roger can't sing, only shout along the phrases
Pete, who is the real heart of the band, looked like a caricature of himself, missing notes and providing no vocal harmony.
John Entwistle is sorely missed. His unmatched bass skills along with great harmonies used to hold their sound together.

I would've been more entertained by a Who tribute band... that's really sad :-?

I was kinda drunk but I still think they were terrible, just as I knew they would be.

We had a Who tribute band at an event last summer that were infinitely better than the performance last night.
It's very sad....sometimes, it's just best to disappear into royalty heaven and just rest on the glory days.
Horrid performance, IMO!
PS........who decided THE WHO anyway....talked about irrelevant....a 60's BRITISH band for a current AMERICAN sporting event....I would rather have seen The Black Eyed Peas or some other, perhaps flash in the pan, current band.....keep it fresh....well, anyone but Lady Gaga

The Who did NOT impress.....

Their performance was okay, I suppose, but the crowd connection just WAS NOT there.... :(

I'd agree with those who said John Fogerty would be a good one. Of course, you gotta remember next year's going to be at the new Cowboy stadium. They'll have to find an appropriately Texanish performer.

Hmmmm..... ZZ Top? Waddyathink?

Saw them in concert about 5 years ago-generally a great concert, but at times, Daltry's voice would get bad, and then he took a break of several songs to get his vocal chords treated for "allergies", I think they said. In the middle of a concert? While they were performing some of their classics from Tommy?

The problems clearly were more signifcant than allergies.

The Who were just bad.

Whoever picks the halftime show for the NFL/networks needs to strap on a new set of balls. From 1999 to 2004 they used current acts to entertain and put on some good shows... and then Janet Jackson had her "wardrobe malfunction" and the NFL/networks pooped their drawers. Now we get "safe" acts like MaCartney, Prince, Tom Petty, the Stones, and Springsteen. Fogeyville. Borrrrring.

Halftimes was as useless and boring as 98% of the ads. I loved Betty White and Abe Vigoda!

I didn't know Abe Vigoda was even still alive. :-?
