uh...I have a question...... so we're running low on beer, so Marilyn suggested I take the bottles back. I just loaded the car with twenty one 12 packs of beer that we've drank in about the last month ......so my question is....what kind do you think I should get?

I'm biased but the Residence Inn has a nice pool area with a gas grill and even if (God forbid) the weather isn't the best the rooms have full kitchens and room for us to be inside.

As long as the hotel will allow it this sounds good but I have to wonder if they would.

They have a grill outside I'm assuming they expect it to be used. As long as we don't invite the immediate world and most of us are staying there it should be fine. Plus we'll be taking stuff in and leaving well before 3. I'm torn about whether we should call and speak to them about it or is it better to beg forgiveness than ask permission?

The only thing I'm slightly worried about is starting to set up and having them come out and say NO WAY , it might be good to know their expectations beforehand. On the OTHER hand we don't want the misinformed Parrothead reputation to precede us and be judged on that.

We just set up and play.....if and when they say something, we show how many are staying there, and show we all have a few guests.....we are allowed guests......worse case, we tailgate in the parking lot...don;t think they'll say anything about that......besides, you think we're the only ones staying at that hotels that is going to the show???? Who's gonna complain???

People got tossed out of the parking lot at the Comfort Inn, my mom was kept pretty entertained watching the police come around so I wouldn't count on that but since it's a Residence type hotel I think they expect people to have guest etc. As long as we don't have 100 people we should be OK. Besides, if they complain to Comcast we may solve the bigger problem I'm sure every hotel in the area will have a similar situation.

I have 5 or 6 from my west of west PHCOEM crew. We should be fine.. a lot of people are either coming down later or on Saturday. We really should be fine! I've seen the pool and areas packed with people.. parking lots are probably a bad idea. But we'll see. I wouldnt worry too much about having people there for 3 hours.

I have a suggestion for the Residence Inn on Thursday & Friday (for those hanging there) please don't bring glass to the pool. I know it's a no brainer but the less mess we make and avoid the inevitable, the better. That being said, everyone please bring a few plastic cups. We don't want to screw ourselves for any future hotel stays. Let's prove that PH's can be somewhat responsible.

I predict on Friday morning we all will be saying that we all had a great time and it was way better than anyone thought it woudl be.

I remember the Hurricane Hannah show when they bumped the start time up to 3pm, many of us were unhappy with the limited hours to tailgate and after we almost all agreed it was on of the best we ever had.

They can temporallytake the Parrotheads out of Great Woods but you can't take the Great Woods out of the Parrothead. We will be tailgating nomads.
