I'm working the night shift....came in at 11pm....will probably work a 12 then go home and crash.

The only thing I'm slightly worried about is starting to set up and having them come out and say NO WAY , it might be good to know their expectations beforehand. On the OTHER hand we don't want the misinformed Parrothead reputation to precede us and be judged on that.

We just set up and play.....if and when they say something, we show how many are staying there, and show we all have a few guests.....we are allowed guests......worse case, we tailgate in the parking lot...don;t think they'll say anything about that......besides, you think we're the only ones staying at that hotels that is going to the show???? Who's gonna complain???

People got tossed out of the parking lot at the Comfort Inn, my mom was kept pretty entertained watching the police come around so I wouldn't count on that but since it's a Residence type hotel I think they expect people to have guest etc. As long as we don't have 100 people we should be OK. Besides, if they complain to Comcast we may solve the bigger problem I'm sure every hotel in the area will have a similar situation.

I'm just finishing the GW Buffett Buffet list....only around 50 people....should have this out tomorrow.

A note from Parrothead Club of Eastern Mass. to Buffettnews.

Rick and I have been working on all the angles we can think of. We have contacted PHiP, Margaritaville Foods, Tour Manager of some of the Reefers, Comcast Operations, Comcast Security, and pretty much anybody we can think of. We have just got a local contact for Live Nation and Rick will be contacting them today. We are trying to work out every compromise that we can think of. All the New England Club Leaders have agreed that one person should take the lead on all the club’s behalf, and elected me. The sticky point for the clubs is that the club tickets are in jeopardy if we do not follow PHiP’s rules, one of which is that nobody is supposed to contact the venue with requests. So we must tread lightly.


You all know the history, as most of you have been going as long as I have, almost 20 years. . . As of right now, PHCOEM, and maybe some other NE clubs, will be meeting at the Shaws, Rte 140 South in Mansfield at 9am. We will be ready to head in at 9:30. The plan is to send a scout and see if they are serious about turning us away. If we can get in, we’ll call the caravan and give them the green light. One concern I have is that if we go in without permission, that they will ask us to leave after we are set up and cooking. If they do not let us in at 9:30, we will come up with a new plan. Saturday’s show is advertised as a noon start, so that will not be as big of an impact.

After the concerts, there will be a formal response sent, at least from PHCOEM’s BOD and I am sure from all the New England Clubs. I am as outraged about this injustice to his most loyal PHans, as you are.

We are Parrot Heads, we will survive. PHINS TO GREAT WOODS – and may the margaritas never stop flowing. . .

I'll be driving by there Thursday morning at around 8:30 on my way to Shaw's so I can check it out that morning. I'm sure it will say the same thing but it's still worth checking out.

So apparently I'm gonna have the best running car at the concert. My oil change turned into a "Hey you need a new alternator." I almost thought about saying "nah, I'm sure I'll be fine", but then I pictured my car sh*tting the bed somewhere on the jersey Turnpike, and that would be bad.....

Weird Exact same thing happened to me last week one of my wipers stopped working, I went to have it fixed and they said my alternator sounded odd so they checked it and it was functioning under the correct voltage and probably wouldn't last much longer.

Lucky for me, my warranty expires in 1,100 miles so I am dropping it off tomorrow to get fixed.

How come every time I look at the Mansfield weather forecast for Thursday it gets colder? Now the forecast high is 68???!!! I guess that means we'll need to consume more "anti-freeze".

Not to beat an already dying horse. . . but my biggest concern is that we take them at their word and show up at 3pm only to find that they've already caved and let a bunch of people in. Then I'll really be p***! Even though we shell out for the premier parking and kind of do our own thing, I'm thinking we might be showing up at Shaw's this year. Strength in numbers and all that.

Kathy so rocks! I know shes been pulling her hair out over this.. its like Christmas to her (and many of us!!!) and is simply heart broken over the gate times. Anyways, if and when you all see her, please give her a big hug and say 'thank you'... you have no idea how much that will mean to her!

I have to head up to Mansfield to start making the jello shots on Wednesday night so I will actually be driving by on Wednesday as well as Thursday morning.
