We survived.....Tam, Jack, Marlyn & I are showered and having the first coffee of the day.....when we got home from the concert everyone ( Pam, Dave & Carol, Sarah & Mike) all came to our room, we drank more rum, had cheese & crackers, and finished listening to the concert replay....we finally crashed around 2:30.
Now for the 4.5 hour drive home.....UGH!

What a GREAT time, and thanks again to Dave & Barb Gunthermoose for everything they did to make this weekend really perfect. (and kudos to God for the weather on Friday and Saturday) He must be a Parrothead!

ya, but barely! I think I need about 4 days of just sleep and detox!
But have to say, whoa.. that was a fantastic time!!!! Thanks to everyone that made it out and joined us. Thursday was crazy, Saturday was epic and Friday was simply awesome! (Yes... I'll dare say it again... Loving our new BN Friday tradition!!!) ... yep, that is going to cost me next year when I want to sleep in on Friday AM! Its hard to pick out a favorite moment as there were so many! The deck getting on the big screen was so cool! Watching Dave sing with Peter Meyer and the crew on friday night was jaw-dropping! Hanging out at the 'Comber with some of the crew and the boys was awesome! Got to love those Goombay Smashes! I couldnt get away from the deck much on either Thurs or Sat but thanks to everyone that came by to say hi! And yes.. Randy already has plans for next years additions! Oh boy!!!

Chris and Marilyn you were stellar! I'll be your roomie any day! Gunther and your lovely side-kick Barb were way above and beyond! Wow!!! Thanks for keeping me fed and quite happy! Pam, Carol and Dave (aka Rocky Reefer).. thanks for the ride and company throughout! Jack, Jon, and Matt - life is much more interesting with you all in it, and funnier! Psuedo what?!?! I can NOT believe Matt got Jack into the Sandbar! ahahah... And of course everyone else.. theres a long list of attendees this past year and your smiles, stories and laughter were all appreciated and needed.

now if you dont mind... I need a very long nap!

Made it back with good intentions of going to the beach to zool out. Unpacked the cooler, made a quick sandwich and then made a big mistake. I sat down to eat it. I was sooo tired. Dave and I decided that perhaps we'd just use the teak lounges in the backyard under an umbrella. We attempted but it was too frigg'in hot. we went inside to cool off. I fell asleep on the couch for a long nap. I woke up and was in a fog big time. The lack of sleep this past week ( since Tuesday ) really caught up with me. It must have taken at least a half hour for me to come out of it. Dave didn't take a nap and is still kind of zombie. His voice is still shot...kind sounds like Jack's did.

We had a most awesome time this entire long weekend. Grillmaster and Barb...what a steller job you two did. We want to also thank Tam for the wonder juice. We need to mail you some moo-lah. We meant to give you some yesterday but spaced. Thank you everyone for making our virgins Patty and Peter feel so welcome and understand the fun filled world of our BN phamily.
I think we need to have another phlocking after the summer is over.
off to more unpacking (I hate this part).

GW weekend is officially over for another year....we're home and unloaded.....FINALLY!

Random thoughts on the weekend.....

........my faith in GW has been restored. After all the BS, it was much ado about nothing, we got in a for full days of tailgating, and I actually think I like Lot 13. Lots of woods for pee breaks, it's cooler than being on the blacktop, and it's where all the cool kids are

The attendants were much better than last year, friendly and allowed us move vehicles both Thursday and Saturday to make Tam's bar work, and keep the groups together. Being the first car into the lot was awesome!!!!! Even Jon said to me after we parked how surreal it was for him to follow me into that empty lot. I was told that the fin on top of my Jeep was good luck, and I have to bring it next year

It was great meeting some new people.....Snowparrot, IrishPirate, I knew you were coming, and it was great meeting and spending time with you! Garry, what a surprise to see you show up with Larry! I look forward to seeing you again at MoTM.

THREE AWESOME SHOWS!!!! Thursday's show had a great setlist with a couple of songs I'd never heard live before, Tampico Trauma and Frank & Lola, and Tina doing an awesome duet with Jimmy on "Trip Around the Sun".
Friday's Sandbar show....WOW, almost beyond words! The Baha Brothers warming up the stage, Ilo coming out and doing an amazing set with a couple of new tunes, Peter & Jim Mayer doing old PM tunes together, Frinzi & John Patti helping Nadirah, Mike Utley, to do Club Trini tunes, and of course the newest Reefer, Rocky doing a duet with Peter

5 hours of one of the best jam sessions I've ever heard, with all the performers staying to do a meet and greet afterwards.
Saturdays's show....what a setlist!!!!! Knees of My Heart, If the Phone Doesn't Ring...., Wings, Mexico ( First time I've heard live) and of course, an accoustic version of "my song" to close out the show..." Gimme Oysters & Beer, for dinner ev'ry day of the year, And I'll feel fine, I'll feel fine...."
I made it on screen with Jen during Margaritaville, and saw Tommy, Jack, and Tam's bar make it too

After the Sandbar show I talked to Nadirah, and asked her to sign my Buffett show ticket. She asked if it was tomorrow's ticket and I said " No, tomorrow I'm in the 5th row, right in front of you....I'll wave Hello"

, to which she replied, " And I'll wave back"

During Creola she came over right in front of me and looked right at me. I waved and it made her smile and she waved back. WOO HOO!!!!! After the show, as they were leaving the stage, I had snuck Marilyn down with me, and as Nadirah left the stage she looked down at us. We both waved to her and she smiled and waved back. Talk about icing on the cake!!!!!

The GW Buffett Buffet....Hurricane Dave fed us with food that would've made Emeril jealous!!!! Dude, you really outdid yourself! Everything was delicious, and it seemed there was always something new to eat! I'm really grateful for you doing it, even though I think it's too much work for one person, and just hope you and Barb were able to enjoy the tailgate as much as the rest of us did. I am most appreciative!!!!!

The many examples of the Parrothead spirit. Dave & Barb catering a feast for the rest of the BN crew.....Dave getting tickets to the Sandbar for everyone.......Jen scoring me a 5th row ticket!!!!!......Carol giving Marilyn her Section 3 ticket...the carpooling, sharing of resources, and camaraderie. Parrotheads are known for it, but I'm convinced BNers take it to a new level. I'm sure I'll think of more, but I think this post is long enough already

Thanks to everyone for making the past 5 days memorable, and I can't wait til we get together again!!!!

The whole weekend was a damn lovefest - we were joking about what we'll do when Jimmy isn't touring anymore - we joked that we will just show up at random parking lots with all our stuff and party anyway!
