Everything I know about Rep. Charles Wilson I learned from one good book, Charlie Wilson's War. (Please use the Amazon link on this page to search for the book.)
If all the bad stuff about Charlie in that book was true, and if he never did anything else worthwhile, his role in that facet of U.S. foreign policy was enough to make him a Good American... at least for me.
Rest Easy, Mr. Wilson.

I loved Charlie Wilson. Worked in a couple of his campaigns. He was a rapscallion, to be sure, but he was MY rapscallion.
Mr. Mojito and I went to Ann Richards' ignauration ... Charlie was there with 2 blondes would couldn't have been 25 ... one on each arm. Would have loved a photo, but didn't have a camera with me.
Sail on, Charlie. We'll not see your likes again.
