7.15 in England, all web sites as before, Alans lurking. The ticketnet web site for Olympia gives you the choice of seat, the GDP just lists 3 different prices with no idea where they are.

Roxanne,
Need some help here. The Olympia web site for other shows appears to show the Mezanine at top price and floor the which appears to be seated. You don't seem to be able to choose.

From the research I did yesterday, it appears that the category 1,2,3 varies from show to show. In some cases category 2 can be either floor or balcony (on same ticket), but in all cases mezzanine was the cat 1 and the most expensive - BTW those prices are over 3 times what we were paying the first year.
My current thoughts (for what its worth) - if you want mezzanine, you are going to have to pay for Cat1 and if you want to stand Cat 3. What I cannot work out is if the seating is on a first come, first served basis?
Watch this space...............

Hello again
If you go to www.olympiahall.com select full calender and look at the Chico and the Gypsies concert on 16/4/10
It shows you a full photo of the concert hall with the categories marked on. Now I am assuming this is a seated show, but there is no doubt if we want to be near the front/mezzanine we will have to select Category 1
What do you think?

Yep,
That was bad, had 4 tickets then site crashed and I lost them, then site kept chrashing, eventualy got 2 seats thru Olympia site. They have either held seats back or the touts were out in force. Guess my mum and dad won't be coming this year.

What site did you purchase the tickets from pls ? I cannot find the concert on Olympia and on gdp it just states categories, no mezzanine or orchestre ? I don't want to end up with the wrong tickets
Help appreciated
Peter
Nevermind, I found out that on GDP categorie 3 is Orchestre, which is standing room. Just bought 2 tickets.

I have realised what has happened. They have changed the plan to standing therefore the cheap tickets are now on the floor. and there are lots of them left.

Re: Who's going to Paris 09/24/10?
That was just horrendous - It is much easy booking with Ticketmaster. Went on line at 9 am our time and just could not get through on GDR so went to Olympia site and bought 2 on Mezzanine and we are not even sitting together. Could not get Alan his two as he is away on holiday so had to keep trying and could not get 2 in Mezzanine and had to get Alan two standing. Wonder if someone will swap their seat so I can sit by hubby. Roxy perhaps you have a seat near us. It says 04 12 & 04 06. Then I made a mistake must have paid extra for the tickets to be sent to us on one lot and the other two have to be collected. Give me strength.

Re: Who's going to Paris 09/24/10?
There does seem to be plenty of Cat 2 and 3. However if you try for mezzanine all I could get offered on GDP were two seats not adjacent to each other (row 8 ). On the Olympia website they offered mezzanine but when you asked for 2 tickets they said that there was none available.Migration Michelle wrote:There are plenty of tickets left in every category...
I guess it will vary from minute to minute as people are letting tickets go!
It will be good to see you again Michelle. Any news on a 'pre show' at the New Morning??
